good epic war type game so far. but there is a memory leak issue. every minute this thing eats up more and more system resources. what is causing that?
It's basic, but it does work. The hover over selection stuff is glitchy though. Half the time I'm pressing to select but it doesn't work. You might want to use a different selection pointer method. Maybe add a simple upgrade map in a help section (and there also show costs and the increasing tower placement cost).
thought the game was nice. played before badges. now once again, another game that once badges are added, erased my game progress. I will never understand why that keeps happening.
As others have mentioned, this is a WRT and no improvements since 1st version. Also, at level 22 this thing bogged down and then started calling all waves at once. nice. not really. needs a lot more work here.
nothing exciting, but it does work. didn't use all the towers well. seemed to only need electric and laser after small start with cannon. upgrades overpowered, use that instead of spamming. winning not difficult after a few false starts.
Seems like a bunch of whiners on here. Mission mode: yes, you have to start over if you lose. There's only 4 levels, calm down. Next, you can lose if you let an enemy slip by and you have nothing to guard. Solution: put a tower next to the gate (really, that was hard to figure out?). Pay attention to the upgrade cost vs the base tower cost and decide if it's beneficial to upgrade or spam. The fire tower is fairly powerful. Good luck.
Good stuff overall. Plays well and the difficulty scales well. Though I used the default guy until the forest girl and then here il end (vamp, though not really needed). Cute graphics and the flying guys at the end of each is funny shit.
good effort overall. first, it works, and that's a plus. decent graphics and enough variety of creeps and towers. good variety of maps and decent upgrade system (for base and towers) as well. could be expanded to include more maps and other improvements as well like a menu button, pause and restart, etc.
Seems like a good effort, but maybe add a link/page help menu. I mean, what you actually need to even do here is not really clear and you can't access info later. Dig a path? sounds simple, but sometimes the green/goal parts are in different places? Sometimes enemy comes from more than 1 direction, but not obvious. Not info on what each thing - tower/trap does (ie, stats).
I apparently suck at this version far more than the others. I swear I could have a screen full of guns and still miss everything. I see the bullets go right through the enemy it seems. Slight memory hog as well. Wont bother to complete the badge.
Like the game the way it is. At first I thought the upgrades were expensive relative to their benefits, but then after playing more see that as a balancing act (ie, if upgrades were cheaper or more powerful then the game would be too easy). I thought I'd want the speed up button fixed, but on the whole I don't use it too much as I'm balancing my towers (especially repair). The repair mechanic (w/o repair all) is tedious, but adds to the tension of the game. though borderline too much minutia, still not as bad as picking up money in some similar games. the game works, no obvious bugs, it plays simple, you can adjust difficulty level, you can farm for experience and upgrades, but you can't over do it and win just on effort alone. there are enough levels and not so many as to get boring. good variety of towers and upgrades, though I prefer having stats available to see what is really going on with the towers. graphics are good. overall great effort.
Lots to like here. Having the max scores for each hover over works. Being able to pick a level instead of forced one after another is great. Like the range of items throughout. Fun, intuitive. Not too long. Great job overall.
ok, managed a perfect lvl 9. question: on restart, why does the whole game reload? I've never seen a game have to do that. eats a lot of resources and time.
On the good side I'd like to point out it's great AI for the towers. especially when splitting fly/ground enemies and having multiple towers able to hit. the AI figures out good ways to split the effort.
Another question though. it seems as if when the splash tower shoots and egg and before the egg hits the enemy it was targeting dies, then the egg disappears. if that is true, can you change that? I mean, the egg should still fall and the splash might hurt other enemies.
Ok, beat lvl 6. dont remember exactly how but know I didn't use slow tower and used a few splash towers. save your specials for the boss because the lives he takes are much more than other guys. survived with only 4 life. then strangely lvls 7 and 8 are far easier. 2 stars on both but could have been perfect on 8. mix splash and salt/pepper with 1 or 2 simple anti-air. now stuck on lvl 9.
Overall good stuff. I find it ok to not have system upgrades/options as it forces you to win with what you have. That may hurt replay value but I don't want to replay it too many times actually. I'm not a fan of any system that requires clicking on things like the aphids (or coins in other games). It's annoying and disables any chance at a speed up option. The levels definitely get harder, but starts to seems as if levels have only one or a few ways to beat them.
Good work overall. It works, good graphics, good intro/tutorial. Yes, it's simple, but there are a few maps, a few towers and the multiple entries/exits. I have certainly seen worse, much worse. Though there are obvious complaints about lack of "insert whatever here", I will point out that played as a vanilla TD, the difficulty curve ramps up very well - not too fast, not too slow. I quickly played the 1st 8 lvls and noticed that as each level got on, it was harder and harder to just spam basic tower in the center lines. I'm sure your next release/game will be even better.
overall good effort. plays well, graphics are good, decent instructions. a bit much with all the mouse clicks of picking up money and placing waves and upgrading units.
