I'm not very impressed. The controls are laughable. To fight you have to press the spacebar down which automatically stops all movement. As a wizard with the lowest of all defenses if you have to stop moving to attack and vice-versa you are put t the biggest disadvantage imaginable.
Not going to lie. Had I played this game before I played the sequel, I would've never given the sequel time of day. This game is pretty horrid. To think that a single low shield can deflect two low attacks. It makes the whole mechanic of leveling up attacks or shields useless. You burn up more mana trying to deal damage with a level 2+ attack when a level 1 shield deflects all damage at nowhere near the cost of the attack. This game is literally a contest to see if you can drain the enemies mana before they can kill you.
Not very satisfying. Potions are a complete waste as when you actually need them they heal so little and take so long to use as to be useless. If you're dodging an attack you have to stop attacking completely. Because in reality an archer who has his arrow nocked is going to remove the arrow from the string and place it back in its quiver to dodge another projectile. The amount of enemies you have to kill to gain a factions side is so painstakingly time consuming for a game not built to be a grinder.
You can't double jump over water or after you hit your head on a wall, making us with more glitchy out of wack controls really hard on the fall and jump method, but still a great game.
Even when I put laptop on high performance, delete history, close all tabs, turn off sound, put on low quality, put on low particles, the game still wigs out when you have to focus on the last 4 protectors. Seems like a big troll to me, really disappointed. :(
There needs to be some starting tips, at first I didn't even know the game started, then I didn't know if the balls ears would change with the rest of the ball, some clues need to be given or you'll get bad ratings.
