It seems that a lot of the flavour text is missing during the first two parts. There is no obvious way to get past the third scroll where you get a mission to kill black pirates (no, the scroll bar was _not_ obvious). But once you get into the game it is definitely fun.
I've found at least two distinct five-square solution to the first puzzle (times mirrors and turn of course) but no solution OK yet. Sorry, but that kills the game.

The time continues to count up until it resets during countdown of next level. The background track is too short and has a very distinct loop glitch. The gameplay is not finished either.
1/5 not because it is as awful as the completely nonsense "games" I usually reserver this for but because it so completely misses the point of the genre it is in.
