Just like bejeweled it is extremely luck-based. It is all about getting a nice supercombo in the first two moves and then anothe decent in the next three, or you might as well wait for the timer to run out and restart. But it is a good matchgame clone and it works in its genre.
Every time you place a hexagon, it decreases the numbers around it, when the number reaches zero (from one, which is red), that space is cleared. Too bad you just added a six so you have to place six other hexagons around that space.
In the first scene clew number four got the number nine yellow marker for me. Very confusing. Would have been nice if the clues were in order and the scripting required that you actually had all the clues, not just the middle stretch. (I got the clue about the starting time long after having pieced together the clues that said between what times they were drinking, wondered where that first time came from)
Basically max up your ion cannons, then do something else for half an hour or so, then create an insane amount of supersoldiers for a quick and boring win.
Disturbing music with a much higher level than any game sound, bog standard dune racer and control is bad, plus a "sneaky" link on the "click me" police cart. 1/5
That was really fun in all its simpleness. The music is probably what makes it stand out amongst other unpolished first tries. that and the humour. and the Spanish Inquisition (oh, i digress). Silly and fun for a few minutes.
Finally finished it all, like all launcher games the result is mostly luck. In this case, it is the setting that makes the game fun (but getting those last secondary missions was frustrating).
