I'd give you 5/5 for the music and atmosphere alone, but I have to subtract with this whole "cliffhanger ending" idea. Is Aurora 2 now going to be in the works or did you just not want to flesh out the story and have a proper ending?
Reached a point where I could not kill more mobs to get more black diamonds, and two black diamonds which I apparently needed to harvest to move to the next area had been "spawned" in a spot which I could not reach. 1/5 for game-breaking design.
I actually feel this lacks a lot of depth. Modern developers don't understand that strategy and twitch reflexes do not mix. This would be INFINITELY better if it was turn based or at least much slower. Otherwise the strategy becomes a click-fest and you might as well take away all the stats based stuff.
The inability to effectively attack at close range while being outmaneuvered by an enemy that better moves in 9 distinct directions versus my 4 is as maddening as Castlevania was back in the day. I don't really care what nostalgia these other nerds are getting hard off of on this one...this really is no fun to play, at all. At least Mega Man had strategy. This is like, inviting pain.
I'll give you credit for your control scheme and layout, but I agree with others that this is woefully generic and unpolished. I feel nothing for this game.
Seems like 4 minutes is about as good as it gets. Fair enough. 4/5, cool game but annoyed by music. Humor was good. Felt Chinese-ish, so I don't quite get why the main character was white looking, but whatever.
I'd give you 4/5 for originality, but you DEFINITELY get -1 for how terrible the gun is. No one in their right mind would ever go in and rescue hostages without precision weaponry.
You must defend your base AND your own health. Base health goes to zero and you die. Some of you are not understanding this. Survival mode badge for me = SPAS + faster reload + larger clip. That's all I needed. Game over, win.
Good artwork, and nice touch with adding the "other perspective". Someone please stop making these games; I hate them and inevitably still play them through :P
It was fun, but actually too easy to the point of it actually being a detriment to the game (and I don't say that often). 3/5, -1 because I got stuck with one eternally bouncing turtle shell until I realized the S key could be used to end the round. -1 again because of the ease of the game.
