This is easily a 4.5/5 star type game. Combination of professional levels, deductive reasoning that didn't require "pinpoint accuracy" and cool abilities to use make for a populous meets angry birds type game. Well done.
Aesthetically, not a bad game. But in terms of originality you will need to develop another game to put any kind of fingerprint on it. I'd rate it about a 3, 3.5 because of the polish and care I see you putting into it. A develop who is willing to listen to their community will go far.
VERY laggy in Firefox ver 21.0. Maybe would be different in a different browser. 3/5. Nothing special here, but I do like your cartoonish animation style.
Enjoyed this game. Struggled a bit with it until I placed Erica as team leader. Her speed boost makes the group almost overpowered. I used Erica, Josh, and Selene. The other two seem useless. I like the idea of the air wizard's movement speed boost, but otherwise Ray and Glenn are useless. I give you 4/5. I didn't really like the idea that you could only 3 out of 5 available on any given stage, the ones sitting out don't get xp, and this triangle squad pattern leaves the two people on the side vulnerable to many attacks.
Some of these levels start oppressively weighted against the individual's chance to win. I don't like a lead vest on my chest when I start a match. Additionally, it would be nice if credits could be gained for re-doing past wins.
I feel like I've played something similar to this when I was younger, MUCH younger. I can really see myself in this game. A lot of hard work must have gone into making this vision.
The tongue control is a bit wonky, but that's the only thing that's keeping it from an otherwise 4.5 or 5/5 rating. As is, 4/5 with good marks for graphics, content, etc. Good use of physics and platforming combo.
Thoroughly enjoyed this for what it was. 5/5. 4 directional fire would have been nice. 9 directional (oh boy! Contra 1986!)...anyways, well done game, fun, quick, easy.
So much work was probably put into this game to make it suck so bad. Plays too slow, no grind, minimal strategy, guaranteed to win if you invest enough time into it...blah but 3/5 for overall setup, graphics, intent
