Sooo... A hail mary pass, I upgraded the unity engine and created a new build. Hopefully this fixes the freeze bug. So if anyone experience the freeze bug from now on I'd really appreciate a bug report. The game rating has probably taken a hard hit from the bug since earlier simple prototypes of the same game have a higher rating...
Actually I only managed to reproduce the bug once and then never again.. Anyone managed to get the game freeze more often? Any idea what you did to do so?
Some people are reporting that the game froze. Any info on this bug would be greatly appreciated! If you know how to use the browser console it would be a great help if you could find an exception in there somewhere :)
There haven't been any updates for some while now, but that doesn't mean I've been idle like a suppressed volkssturm conscript! There are major changes in the works and when they are finsihed there might be a beta release. That release will be under the finished game's name, not as an update on this particular page. I'll post here when it happens. There is still a lot of work to be done though.
Next feature I am working on is being able to select if you want to be Germans or Americans. This means of course I will have to come up with a name for the game. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!
Daily missions
This update introduces daily missions. These change at midnight. This is an early version and thay are subject to change. Let me know what you think and what changes you would like to see!

- Rocks no longer block line of sight (trees still do) but instead act like a sandbag wall providing cover. They resist explosions better than sandbag walls so a rock is now a good thing to have in your area.
- There's an in-game pause button. When paused you can still issue orders, request soldiers etc so this will hopefully help in the end-game when there are a lot of things happening at once
- A banner show when a scene is loading
- Damage model for sandbags (and explosions in general) has been reworked. Sandbags can now take a lot more explosion damage before breaking

as there have been large changes that makes saves break and game balance totally different (which affects leaderboards) that’s the easiest way for me.

This version is mainly focused on fixing issues pointed out in user feedback, so thanks everyone who took the time to report your ideas!
- Soldiers are more careful when throwing handgrenades now
- Soldier targetting logic has changed a bit. Before when determining if a soldier is in range we used the enemy center point. We now use the closest point on the enemy making large targets like tanks coming into range sooner.
- Sandbags now give audiovisual feedback when they saved you from getting hit
- Vehicle aim progrss display fixed so that it is visible when vehicle is selected, just like soldiers'
- Increased the strength of volkssturm (which in turn increases hp) so that they can be the meatshields the fuhrer intended them to be
- Taunt will not increase wave counter, but count as a bonus wave
- Changed dialogue to give a more clear idea of what is happening

Finally, tanks can now start showing up after wave 10, just in case you thought the game was too easy :D
Next step is adding more variants of vehicles that will attack you
New version today with amongst other things a daily reward. The soldier rewards are not implemented yet so they will not give you anything. I still wanted to share it ASAP as I love getting some free knives and flamethrowers myself :)
There is also an Android version (not on store) if you want to try it, PM me and I'll send a super secret download link. It's not very optimized so might not be great if your phone isn't new.
FLAMETHROWERS available in the new version! Man, I love these guys! I'd love to get some feedback on balancing them properly, both on the enemy and the own side.
Made another update with many minor improvements. Will now start working on adding flamethrowers whihc is likely to take a few days. If you have other ideas you'd like to see implemented then let me know!
@teiyi Hey thanks for the feedback. If a shot hits it causes a drop in health , if it misses it might still cause a drop in morale if it was close enough. I might need to make this more intuitive as you say! I have not put much effort into UX aspects at all yet as I am still exploring possibilities regarding where to take this. I was thinking there might need to be different playmodes so you could play different missions. Maybe add a daily mission or something. I had not thougght about capture the flag at all so thanks, great idea!
@Killcam if you're having trouble with PAK's try to build a pilbox at the top of the screen and put an engineer in it. He can place mines even when in the pillbox. Also, a PAK will aim and shoot at him if he is standing at the edge of it even though he is invincible. Watch out for flamers though, they can still kill you...
