Awesome concept. Really, really bad execution. Sometimes an enemy will spontaneously get huge range, even able to outgun my cannons. Sometimes they'll get stuck on a caltrop. Sometimes my troops stand there shooting and missing. Not only does the speed thing need to be toggle, it also needs an option to be about 10x faster. I really just want to hit START and see the results, see what was damaged, etc.
Fantastic game. I would suggest an option to sort by card difficulty, as the sorting by what you've almost matched doesn't account for how many spins away you are. If I need 7x coffee and have a bunch of sandwiches and clocks, I'm a lot closer than if I had 3 coffee already.
I like looking around and having to find stuff. I don't like moving so slow when I know where I want to go. It would be nice if I moved faster, or at least some sort of "run" option that lets you move very fast but doesn't show any goodies.
There needs to be a way to "farm" gold. As it is, there is a fixed amount of gold in a level so it's conceivable that someone would upgrade the wrong things, run out of gold, and become unable to progress. Since the gold kinda needs to be spent on specific upgrades, why not just have you find the upgrades themselves? "You found: Super Propeller MkII!"
I shouldn't have to adjust my monitor to play a game. It was too dark, and too ambiguous what could be stood upon, to the point where I just held down jump and ran around until it let me through a new area. I liked the music and the art was kinda neat... but this isn't so much an arty game as it is "hold a button to see the video".
I found the game VERY hard. Extremely fun, but I had to repeat some of the levels many times before winning. An easy mode may be in order, or a few slight modifications. Or maybe I just suck at it. :)
I basically played the entire game with Trainees. Once you get elemental switch items, you just use them. The debuff is superpowered and by using just one hero you get really powerful. The only issue is the very rare absorb with your main element, in which case you'd use another hero.
It's a great game but income should be about twice or three times as much. Seems like you have to grind to get anything decent and there aren't intermediate things to buy (like being able to sell weapons later).
