Why is there a click screen to continue when fullscreen is loaded? I try clicking the screen, but nothing happens. This was never a problem before. I'm using Chrome & Safari on a Mac OS Leopard laptop. I've played this game for many hours without this problem on this machine.
There should be a penalty for quitting a quest before it ends, or a price for starting a quest. If you start a 5-player quest and 2 people quit or lag out, leaving 3 people to finish the impossible, then those left to finish the quest should receive the fine\entry fee from the players who quit to compensate them.
How much time is wasted by failed quests that fail only because half the players suddenly disappear? It's frustrating and wasteful, and other than having to coordinate reliable game partners, there's no solution as is.
I understand your frustration, however there is no perfect solution. If we make it too penalizing, people will just hang around if they don't want to play. Afkers & leavers are always annoying. Team up with friends to avoid them :)
I actually don't think any of the skills are underpowered as novaplasma says above, they are all very valuable, it just depends on timing. Being able to buy more skills or level up is of course a cool idea. I think I use the free point skill more than all the others, but thats a choice. I have won the same amount of times with feigned retreat and by using lightning bolts on groups of enemies... Just have to figure out what nerdook wanted you to do with each strategy, I think.
I figured this game out. ***SPOILERS*** The way you win is press the forward key and then buy more things. Then press the forward key. Then buy more things. Keep doing this until you reach the end.
Am I missing something really obvious? I can't seem to figure out what to do with squads. Is there a point in the game where I can take these guys with me somewhere? Great game by the way.
I like the new trend of making games as hard as they were in the early 90's and the 80's. These kids today with their unlimited lives, powerups and saved games...
I like the idea that the commander becomes stronger the bigger the snake is. Way to reinvent one of the first games ever made for the PC into something completely amazing! The art is kind of um, "borrowed" from nerdduke but it's still a great game.
Known bug. We're fixing the next patch. Sorry about that :(
