That sounds like a bad luck streak. There are times during the day we have hundreds going in and out of the rooms. If this is the case and you are having a hard time getting in because people are jumping the gun a split second before you, creating a room can allow you to avoid this situation.
I haven't played for more than three minutes and already there's a "walkthrough" button overlapping some of the display. It's a bit early to be accusing me of being lost and helpless.
and it crashed on a mouseover event. Great art in this game, good music, but unsatisfactory technical elements (slow framerate, interface buttons changing without being touched, crashing)
Gave up, went to the walkthrough. Said to drag the pencil stand to the poster of coloured squares... I already did that. Tried it some more times, does nothing. Broken.
Don't assume someone else's services (like newspaper archives) will still be available, or will be available to any of your players. People living outside the USA aren't always able to access American archival records.
Seems like such a simple game, but really it's a reflexes-based maze. I was surprised how often I had to learn a new miniskill to complete these mazes; it's not just endurance or improving my twitchiness.
Thanks for playing, and I'm very sorry you encountered this issue! The tutorial can be a bit misleading during the upgrade screen, since multiple players got stuck like you experienced it. I have just uploaded an upgraded version which now treats the buttons on the upgrade screen a bit more restrictive, so you can't buy / sell anything until you are supposed to according to the tutorial dialogue. If you press "continue" in the main menu, you should be able to play this part again and then complete the tutorial. Again, I'm sorry you encountered this issue and I hope you will give the game another chance.
well done! my only frustration was on level 18, where the 'steam meter' covered part of the map that had a hazard, and I jumped up into it. More of an unpleasant surprise than a frustration. I enjoyed its entire short duration.
had a regenerating monster jump me. Sent back to home where I can't afford a boat or new troops, I just have to idle for X * 5 minutes until I get enough salary to replenish. :(
