Interesting concept, dull and tedious game. The worst part is that you can get stuck in a "zone" with like 2 ores, having to play that one over and over until you have enough for the upgrades needed to kill the "boss".
Ok, complete garbage. The Ai is nonexistant. Pathing is nonexistant. Control is nonexistant. You can get every monster stuck behind a river and kill it without any danger of being hit back. The students seem to be either cloned or there is a serious incest problem in this realm. Changing class seems to include a facial and a visit to the hairstylist and tailor.
Yeah, after playing some more, I have to agree with that. It's just getting worse and worse. The last straw was the lvl 30 arena boss. Why the fcuk would you need to give that snorefest 5 billion hp ? You can get him stuck at a corner, too, makeing it even more tedious. Carpal tunnel syndrome, the game.
While being a nice zelda-clone, the pacing and balancing suck hard. Bosses are complete pushovers, their only saving grace being their shitload of hp, which will make you fall asleep an get hit from time to time. Monsters clipping through terrain, every weapon but the swords being useless except for that one part wheer it is a gimmik...etc
Not that different from the first one, but that's not a bad thing in this case. Some of the upgrades could use some tweaking, tho. The "quests give double reputation" upgrade is pretty much useless by the time you get it.
Two more things: 1. when using windows/firefox your savegames are at C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\AGYE6LD2\assets.kongregate.com\gamez , either copy the whole folder or go deeper to the HoW3 files and copy them somewhere else as a backup. 2. and another bug: the energycost for spells is way lower than the displayed value, for example "call of fire" supposedly costs 165, but I can use it just fine with only about 30.
Some more bugs: 1.You can get stuck in the trees in the wizard tile in varz while mounted. 2.There seems to be a memory leak at the last boss fight
Alltogether a pretty nice game, but it has some serious balancing issues, and the bossfights are more tedious than difficult, mainly thanks to the fact that you get pretty much drowned in money while pots are dirt cheap (never EVER take the gold reward when you have a chioce). Faction grinding isn't really worth it, you will max the "main" and your class faction along the way, and you got all the gear you need to beat the boss.
The tower is buggy as hell. All of the "tests" are a joke since you can just mount up outside and run through all of em. The boss sometimes just stops moving and lets himself get killed, the skeletons sometimes spawn outside of the walls not able to do anything, and since money is completely worthless you can dump it buying tons of pots.
Im getting suspicious of my party, they all can walk on water. (When you attack enemies at range over a river your partymembers will just run across it and attack)
The kitty cannon seems fun at first, but it gets bloody anoying. Not only do the running enemies kill you, but you have to pick that fleabag up again even if you kill something. Dying and respawning is faster most of the time.
