I don't really understand the idea behind autoplay. What's left of the game if you just let the computer play (badly) for you? It's already a big wait/p2w fest in between the fights, so this feature stroke me as so ridiculous that I thought it might be a joke. I really think these devs are wasting their talents on these stupid freemium games - even if a lot of people buy into it.
So the only way to get arcane dust consistently as a free player, is to get bounty rank 10? I actually enjoyed the game, in spite of the stupid energy mechanic, but there's only so much strategy can do. I still play with my starting hero, and only have a few rares, one epic and no fused cards - and sometimes I'm set up against dual and quad fused rares, epics and legendaries. If this is right, then I'm probably quitting pretty soon.
I didn't like Clicker Heroes very much. But I really like this. Why? Mostly because clicking/tapping is not a core gameplay mechanic, and I feel like I'm still doing decent progress when I'm idling. Moreover, it feels like I have a lot more possibilities of participation and engagement, when I actually have the ability to manage my own heroes. There's still a few downsides to this game's current state, as I'm sure others have told you over and over, but in my book, you got the core gameplay right - and that's what matters, going forward. I hope to see more updates in the future!
Just reloaded the game - and my ninja keeps losing mana passively. Also outside of fights - I don't recall seeing that before. Is that intended? Here's an animated gif of it: https://gyazo.com/7c0f081ad360048b8246d4d7e5cf114d
I will look into this, sorry about that! Edit: Just curious, is the Stamina Mastery skill on autocast (with the green dot) in the skill panel? The previous time this occured was due to it's autocast being somehow activated despite being a passive, which was supposed to be resolved :/
Frustrated that I couldn't figure out the controls, I read the instructions, and somehow my eyes didn't see the first line. Now after completing the game, I look again and feel stupid :P
@HekiShavik In the last week I've been a closed beta tester on a re-release of the game. So don't worry - they're definitely working on it! In fact, the dev team has been working on it pretty much nonstop since they started. It's slightly different than this one - but I think it's balanced a lot better so far - so there's good reason to be excited I think!
Took me a while to notice the aquamarine colored monsters had a single sad version per wave, and that letting that one touch you would give you a temporary boost.
Forgot to add that the turrets bullets can be confusing, since they can be mistaken for enemy bullets. And that I'd prefer if my own bullets were always faster than myself.
Auto-zooming feature is weird. Perhaps it should have depended on factors like my max speed or which enemies were on the map. The turret is nice, but since we have to manually collect money, it makes you skip a lot of money (because it kills things far away). I would prefer an infinite magnet from start. Fighting the small stuff every time I restart quickly becomes trivial. An easily implementable idea would be to start your score/difficulty at 1/5 of your highscore. A more fun idea could perhaps be to make challenges where you could prove/test that some things were trivial at our current upgrade level. E.g. kill 30 of these without taking damage. Boss 1-2 just required damage and moving in a diamond pattern. Boss 3 just required max health because it was extremely hard to dodge for such a long time. Boss 4 was a pushover (because the new speed made diamond dodging possible). I really liked the upgrade menu concept. With some fine tuning, that could easily become a classic feature. 4/5
Assuming this ( http://i.imgur.com/p3A3baZ.png ) is the end of Original Mode, and I just didn't get the credit for completing, this was a fairly easy impossible badge. And I'm glad. It feels great to be able to get these. The other day I couldn't even get a hard badge on one of the newer games (Epic Boss Fighter 2). To find this game, I just sorted after most awarded, and looked for a game with few plays (preferably under a million), since that means a higher percentage of players are able to get the badge.
Hmm am I doing something wrong? I'm in what looks like the final level in Original Mode. It has a white exit and when I go through it takes me to the main menu. But the badge doesn't report it, it seems?
lol.. I can't even do the first boss on hard mode.. either I have a bad setup or I'm just bad. In all my years on Kongregate, I think that's the first hard badge I've found that I can't actually get. And I even have a good handful of impossible badges.
Too RNG for me. And I find it unreasonable to believe I could learn to have 100ms accuracy for this small game. At that level, mouse model and game performance matters far too much for my liking. And apparently this would be one of those games where it's beneficial to have an old and slow computer. I grew tired of the clicking quickly, so I scripted my own hotkeys, which probably also skewed the timing difficulty, but I guess I can conclude that I mainly just don't like super RNG games. Gameplay is what matters to me. So this one is just not for me, I guess.
