A bullet hell shooter with mandatory mouse movement? Playthrough time padded to bursting with grind? Oh no no no.

If anyone was wondering, Doom Warrior is also extremely bad.

It's a real shame there's no option for kb controls here, because the mouse controls aren't really inherently important, so forcing that mostly just makes it unnecessarily difficult to play this thing on my laptop.

Developer response from Geovizz

Just switch controls in main menu

Beautiful art, great music, but you've got some nerve calling this a game.

Nice art and music, but I keep getting trapped in scenery, and the controls don't feel terrible responsive, especially when going for a jump off a ledge. Needs considerable work but promising.

@nilsss I think it's more likely to be an issue at your end (cf: your dumb idiot brain).

Can I not just toss a coin and declare myself the winner when I get heads twelve times? At least that's honest.

This shows great potential, but is far, far from a finished game. The samey environments and NPCs are anathema to games like this, the presentation is diabolical, and the controls (especially the driving) feel imprecise. It's an impressive achievement, but it's extremely rough, and I'm afraid I can't rate it highly as it is.

Cute, and gorgeously animated, but I'm totally unconvinced that this is a rhythm game.

Even though I've spent untold time and money training in career so that I wouldn't have to work in fast food anymore, I am somehow completely powerless to resist these games. Why do you keep doing this to me? What is your problem?

Technically very impressive, although the 3D doesn't actually add anything to the game but loading time. But the combat is solid, if a little ill-balanced (blocking is super overpowered; maybe some sort of skill- and timing-based parry system would be better?), and the fighting styles are nicely delineated. I'd've liked it if beating a harder difficulty got you the achievement for the previous one; after beating Novice a few times I felt confident in taking on the next level, hoping this was the case, but now I find I have to beat the easy mode with EVERYONE to unlock the character editor. Great game, but needs polish. 4/5

Developer response from DJStatika

well the achievements arent for the difficulties, they are for who you beat, so if you finish legend with 1 character then you will get 1 achievements in that playthrough

Beautiful art, but the common gripe about the suicidal metagame is a huge downer. Also, unlike other JB games, the goal here seems to be purely high-score driven; whilst that's not inherently bad, the lack of a clear "win" condition (like escaping in Burrito Bison, or defeating the boss in Knightmare Tower) means it's easy to get discouraged by the grindy nature of the game.

Not bad - not that it's hard to rip off WarioWare - but rife with design issues. Having the instruction text linger in the middle of the screen while the timer's ticking down is a dreadful mistake, and the controls seem incredibly stiff on a lot of the minigames. The games are fun enough, but it's a lumpen, charmless compendium.

This could be GREAT but it's plagued by niggling problems. If I've got a shield, I want to be able to block; a health boost is not sufficient. People clearly want customisable controls, permanent coins (or automatic gathering) and a bit more control over your avatar. Furthermore, there is no good design reason to have all your merchants and the training area so far away from each other. It's not fun traipsing up and down the palisade like a harried mother doing last-minute Christmas shopping.

Great fun, but I reached Mars without completing a great deal of the missions, and kind of felt like I'd seen all the game had to show me. More incentive for completing the side-missions would be nice, though I must admit I'm struggling to think of some off the top of my head.

Beautiful art, but as grind-padded, ropily balanced and shamelessly mercenary as, well, most Berzerk output. You've got some really good artists working for you, guys, but seriously? A belt that does the job of putting a coin on your W key? Up your game.
