Love that you have an OCD button. But how about a Max OCD? After I've reset, and I'm having to level up all my businesses, it'd be nice if OCD would just buy all the levels until the last possible OCD level that you have money for, like the bulk purchase button in the upgrade page. I know I could use the Max option, and then switch to the OCD option, but it'd just be nice to have a Max OCD that combines both.
Really need some purchase modifiers to buy 10x, 25x, 100x, Max. At least the Max one would be very useful at parts of the game where player has to click hundreds of times to purchase certain upgrades.
Simulation seems to be broken to me. I'm supposed to be getting like 4e8 gold per second, and 2e12 DPS, but I'm not getting anywhere near that level of gold or damage done. I feel like its more like 1/10 of whatever it says i'm supposed to be getting, is what I'm getting. Also I'm playing on the github page. Really could use a link to where to go to post about issues, and a page in the game about changes being made. As is, I'm having to come to Kongregate to communicate issues.
I will make a discord soon!
Also yes, this is a know problem. I think it's because the game is slow, so to fix it I'll have to optimize it. I'll do that at some point.
Maxed out on all upgrades and game is pretty tedious now (level 250). Was hoping for some boss level Boxtroids or some kind of much tougher levesl, but as is now, its just seems like endlessly taking out enemies w/o any real goal anymore. Need some later game content.
Thanks!, al lthe info I'm gathering with your comments will help for the new content in the oven. Late today I'm publishing all the new features related to Boxite Collector.
Vote for box collector scooping up ever box it passes instead of collecting them in order they appear. At once point i had so many extra boxes it took a couple minutes to collect them all. Not cool.
The Expansion Autobuyer really needs to be a percentage / multiplier amount of the previous expansion. So like if its a 10x multiplyer, and you expanded at 1000, then the next expansion would be 10000 and then 100,000, and so on. as fixed number, I have to be constantly adjusting it so i'm not expanding too quickly or too far out which gets to be a huge pain later in the game.
Haven't been playing for couple weeks, and managed to accrue a measly 37 minutes of bonus time? I swear the cost of everything grows exponentially, but money / science generation grows logarithmically, yielding a game that is impossibly grindy.
Really need to be able to buy science upgrades with money, or the science upgrades need to scale up slower or yield greater boosts. 4.1T science to go from 5M science on the telescope to only 13M is insane. or 27B+ to upgrade to 44k for the Galileo drop is pointless. The clock might be useful if you weren't got 5% speed increases at a time instead of just 1%, and that for huge amounts of science. The cost of everything in the game just scales up way too fast for what you get.
Decent game, but would really like options to disable the animations. I was over the travel animation after the first time. And when I need to fill up before traveling, I have to confirm I want to fill up and then additionally confirm that I still want to travel. At least there is a quick landing, but I'd rather not even have the notion of having to land. I started to feel like more of my time was being spent on the mechanics of how things are done than deciding where to go next, what to buy, etc.
I don't want to like this game, as I've seen my reactor get blown up too many times, but despite what I might, I still actually find this game pretty fun. Some thoughts on updates though. #1. Saves! Nothing quite so frustrating as spending a lot of time to create your reactor, then you mess up one thing, and the whole thing blows up and you have to start all over. #2. Scram. When things go bad, they often go bad fast. I've had a nice reactor design with dozens of elements on the screen and I change one thing, and the reactor blows before I can even blink. #3. Offline mode would be nice. #4. Keep working on balancing. #4. An experimental page where everything is free, but doesn't earn any money, which would be able to copy our current reactor and let us tweak it and see if we blow it up would be quite nice. Not necessary if you've got ability to save games.
I just blew up my reactor again. I think I'll go play something else for awhile.
Fun game. Like the new UI for most part. Couple thoughts:
1. Buy all upgrades button. Or at least all that you can afford.
2. Put 10/100 buttons to right of progress bar so less scrolling of spawn screen.
3. More slots for inventory items.
4. Just make gear directly purchasable / upgradeable vs having to use intermediate gem 'money'.
Fun casual game I can play during the day. Thoughts: The galaxy map is a pain to use. How about a toggle to a static view that showed me the systems and stations. More detail about stations (their multiplier, what they might be selling) without having to go to the station. When I go to a station or warp gate with autopilot, I probably want to actually dock / warp there. If I dock at a station, ask me if I want to sell the ore i've mined. It'd be cool if I could navigate from station to station in different systems by selecting a station i want to go to from the galaxy map. The camera zoom seems to vary between very far away and on-top-of my ship. Be nice to have a little more range. And also, it'd be nice if when I'm in the Pilot camera mode, if I could pan around and look around, from the point of view of the ship.
Really like this game. Similar to Archibald's Adventures which I really like. But no Save Game progress? Thats inexcusable for a game like this. I was on level 43 when my browser crashed and I lost it all.
The upgrade tasks is an interesting concept, but I'm finding that most tasks are difficult to achieve. For example, to 'upgrade' the basic gun, from level 1, requires killing 40 infantry, which seems to take awhile, at least on early levels. Upgrading by buy structures isn't exactly easy as the amount of money I earn is pretty low. And defeating Air enemies is not even close to easy. Weapons cost a lot of money and seem pretty ineffectual. And I don't get what gaining me XP does me. So, I can advance up in ranks, but so far I haven't seen any benefit that gives me more starting money, more powerful weapons or anything.
If the upgrade tasks notion had carried across the game in general, so like once i've killed 100 infantry, my guns get upgraded to level 2 on all levels played afterwards, that might have been interesting. Or link XP to gains in starting money, or how much money you earn per kill.
Like everybody else says, the items are too expensive, or the reward when you land is not enough. Either way, its not very enjoyable if you have to spend hours just to get a few good rewards.
You can press or hold "M" to buy max.
