HUGE TIP: sell off that worthless fighter bay ASAP before the fighter launches. enemies chasing that retarded fighter are 100x more difficult to hit than ones beelining for your ship
Found out why hard difficulty seemed like a breeze for some and impossible for others. Credit to Johnathanasdf: "The timer that chooses when to send the next wave of enemies etc. runs REAL TIME. However, of course all the shots and stuff are frame-based. That means, on a laggy computer, you won’t be able to get as many shots in as someone playing on a fast computer. You might be much better at aiming than that other person, but you still won’t be able to win. Especially in chapter 3, I lagged my computer a lot and the capital ships near the end were basically coming in together."
So yeah crappy implementation by the designer is the blame for all your frustrations. Graphic settings low + hard difficulty = hard. Graphic settings high + hard difficulty + crappy computer = "WTFUX impossible game I hate j00 stupid developer" + 1/5 rating. Spread the word, let everyone know.

this game has such great potential but it's pretty much screwed by the absolutely craptastic camera. It sucks hard to have to scroll left and right to see where you're shooting and since there's not reason to ever stop firing why even bother forcing us to hold down the fire button? Just have it autoshoot all the time darnit, take a lesson from the great shooter Frantic people. Also, hard setting is closer to impossible >< 2/5 until these things get fixed

The line between frustrating and fun is thin indeed. Honestly, I don't want to go through the whole damn maze every time it the ball drops in a hole. Give us a check point or something for some of the more insane ones. Until then it's just plain not worth the effort 1/5
