Really, really, REALLY nice, of course. I'm absolutely amazed how after the credits, you can replace the music in any level with any other song in the game... and it's STILL designed to sync PERFECTLY! :D If any game ever needed a sequel, it's this.
Really, really nice music. Did Tony McCoy make it specifically for this game, out of curiosity? Not that either way would make it any worse of course. :P
Love the artwork, and the gameplay is incredibly addictive. Not too grindy to get stuff, the medals are pleasantly challenging yet not frustrating... 'Tis simply a wonderful game! Especially if people don't play it for the sake of "winning" it. =p
Thanks so much, it really means a lot! Tony McCoy's music is cc-licensed and was not made for the game, but we spent about 20+ hours looking for it on soundcloud. It was so perfect, we had to use it!
Whoa, 48 hours? Niiiiice. The music is rather amazing - one of the reasons I keep coming back to play :D ...But maybe the addicting nature of the game has something else to do with it.
Bahaha. Alternate version: "Starve the King" where you try to run out of lives/time/cakes (don't even try the latter) before successfully landing a cake. The wondrous king will just get flung out of his seat and out of the screen.
400,000 points are very possible. It's a hard badge for a reason! :P
But yes, try getting more perfect landings, high-altitude jumps, and also remember that a happy 'Dillo gives point multipliers. :D
Okay, that was odd. I saw a small flashing black dot outlined with yellow. Touching it turned it into a thunder cloud that zapped 'Dillo. D:
That supposed to happen, though? o.o
...as I try to post a comment and it gets ruined. Let me try again:
Okay! Time to satisfy my 100% completionist side by getting all the hats!
*Reach zone four without any 'ouch' landings...*
Never mind! Must say, these are some pretty tricky challenges! (Or I'm just really, really bad at this game.)
Some of them definitely take a lot of practice! The penguin's top hat and the squirrels devil horns are both crazy hard, even after the devil horns were nerfed.
Please tell me that Chris Hurn will compose for Dillo Hills 2. His music is breathtaking - and I'm not just saying this because of the flawless transitions of the music based on the situation (for example, menu to actual game). It's truly amazing, in every way possible. Helps to perfect the amazing mood that the game itself sets up quite nicely.
I'm super, super happy with Chris' work on this game, and I'd love to work with him again on DH2. The transitions/loops were a ton of fun to program, and he made it very easy. We haven't made any official plans yet, but he's definitely the first person I'll be checking with.
I was expecting a completely adorable game. And it pretty much is.
Save for your Beardshaker screen at the beginning. Little scary. :P
Really though, this game makes for nice advertisement for this interesting concept of a product. I'm quite intrigued, and I'm pretty much an adult.
Yeah, nowhere near as many as those beardshaker fellows in your... logo?
I LOVE the fighting system. Could use more incentive to not just combo back and forth through the mobs of enemies, but it is really fun. Could use more variety to make it even more fun. For example, on stage 3 there's a ledge you can jump on at the right. Even tiny changes like that mix things up!
