Really great, my only complaints are that going from say Alaska to Kamchatka is annoying because if you scroll it deselects your country and it doesn't register clicking on the arrow. Also, there needs to be a way to pick custom starts from more than just the preset areas on custom maps.
Other than that, wonderful game 4/5
You have to zoom out so that you can see both at the same time (zoom buttons are in the bottom right corner of the map). Or you can click one, then click More Info, then select the other from the list.
For the custom starts - there is a way, check the "Custom Scenario" option and you can set exactly how the map starts.
- immersive madman’s story
~Not really. 3-4 panels every few levels is not 'immersive'
- 9 large levels
~Not much variety other than shape
- many different missions
~2 different missions, reskinned to seem different. Either destroy # of objects, or find # of objects.
- various enemies, harmless people and animals
~You got me there.
- destroyable buildings and objects
~Duh
- upgrade system
~Buying a new weapon/armor every level isn't a very good upgrade system.
Constructive criticism here: While a great concept, it gets easy waaaay too fast. The upgrades curve is much steeper than the difficulty curve, allowing you to go through the entire zoo without needing to look for pills much. Another thing that took away from it was the inability to go diagonally. That's just frustrating. The missions are also quite repetitive, being either "Destroy X of Y" or "Find X of Y." Finally, as someone said earlier, all of the menu SFX are stolen from XAT Chat.
All in all, a good concept, but poorly executed.
2/5.
PS don't - this comment just because it's negative. They're called comments, not praises.
Level 27: Ultimate Faultine Inception.
A fold within a fold within a fold within a fold within a fold within a fold within a fold within a fold within a fold within a fold within a fold.
I could use a "Are you sure you want to quit?" button and a "Are you ready to start this battle?" button, because one of my 'losses' was from hitting quit by mistake trying to hit speed up, and the other was because I hit start on mistake, but meant to hit Hire Mercs.
Wow...
I had fun for about 15-20 minutes, then the lag hit.
I can't even do anything.
I shoot ONCE, and the game renders itself unplayable for about 25 seconds.
It has taken me 20 minutes to get from level 2 to 3.
This would be an epic game if the lag was gone, but since I can't play it even on efficiency mode, I'm rating it 1.
Okay, something ain't right.
I was playing fine, high frame rate hi quality etc, when suddenly painful lag. I go to efficient mode, and still painful lag.
What the heck?!
