Level 10 and further easily beatable under the right, random circumstances: You have to use the lightning attack before the enemy empties his biggest house. But sometimes you start with a near-full bulb and sometimes with an empty one. This game needs a lot of updates and something to keep it interesting.
I don't know what algoritm you used for the target priority, but I like it! In a cloud of paratroopers, I see the airplanes blow up as they enter the screen, just as I want them to.
In the first boss fight, your stamina is worth ~4 XP, where for jobs, at level 40 your energy is worth 1.92 XP. Stamina is twice as expensive as energy, so that comes to, from the start, 2 XP per invested Skill Point in Stamina, against 1 XP at the start, climbing to 1.92 XP at level 40, per invested Skill Point in Energy. If you want to reach level 50 and thus get the badges quick, invest in Stamina!
Only here for badges and dont feel like actually play this? Do job again, do job again, invest in max energy only, do job again do job again, do job again. Easy badge. Repeat for half an hour for medium badge.
Great game 5/5. Comments for the developer: the uneven explosions always have 1 horizontal bullet which goes to the right. This gives a favoured direction to start a chain which is nice (because you can anticipate on it) in 1-Player mode, but it makes the 2-Player mode unbalanced. Yes, this is splitting hairs, but that means the rest of the game is great! :D
oh, LowManji already told us. Well, he shouldn't have hid it in the middle of his post with a general guide. :P By the way, with enough points instead of what LowManji suggested, you could also go full in the offence with the detective, as with the hunter and play the hunter on healing with the Viper Move and Tortoise Pose, just take a defensive stand before you use Viper Move. Anyway, probably this is what I like about this game: the diversity in playing your characters. Really a great game!
FINAL BOSS ON HARD MODE: Have the wolfish girl put 5 points in regenation and 5 in HP, having 200 HP total, regenerating 30 (15%) every turn. You can beat the boss with her alone. The monster heals 10 every turn and your normal attack does 10ish damage. You get about 30 damage every round, but also heal 30 every round. Your special attacks and the crits do the actual damage, slowly downing him while you keep standing. My results: turns 69; accuracy 70%; total damage dealt 2388. If that takes too long (it does!), throw the priest at it first with his cleansing attack maxed as someone already suggested.
Meta-gaming tip! When travelling with more than one character, make sure you spend the points of the characters you are not going to fight with on health. They will be healed 20% of their max, which you just increased, even if they do not fight. :)
Let's see if I can make this as short as possible: mailbox -> postcard -> patient -> letter bundle -> patient -> coin -> music box -> nun -> window -> stone and net -> shower -> window again -> Mary statue -> mirror -> morphine -> toolbox? -> story telling -> toolbox! -> coffin -> head nun's desk -> Father -> move on his sounds -> razor -> tapestry -> bed -> cute white fluffy bunny story -> dream trapdoor -> real trapdoor -> end
How to ruin the fun for yourself: Hire 1 or 2 taxmen at start. drag them directly to the houses. Drag them directly to the castle and back to the houses, to get money fast. Hire only Rangers (or later Elves) in the mean time. Upgrade ranged damage, light armour, etc. Win nearly every mission directly on Hard.
@jeoma: Not all stars, all in-game achievements, thus the same, with extra's: finishing level 16,17 or 18 without destroying a monument and defeating five enemies with one meteorite (the rest you'll get anyway while trying to get all stars).
Level 6 and 8 were relatively easy, 7 and 9 were about the same, 9 gives you the car, but the scenery changes quicker. both were hard. 10: you start with the middle flowers, and work your way outwards with the cross. Then auto-lock everything. I got 5408 points on level 10. :(
Halfway through the hard levels... I don't want to anymore! Level 1 had the waves to focus on, level 2, you go from lowest row up, level 3 was relatively easy, level 4: start with the orange raders (the're unique), level 5: wait for a bee to sit still and quickly arange 2 or 3 pieces... But I don't want to continue. 6 to 9 seem way harder and 10 is gonna be murder. :( Please make it stop!
Good advice! :)
