is there anywhere to figure this game out - it seems to be nothing but reloading while you get shot -- i plug a guy 8 times and then someone else whacks him i get no assist, but i respawn and get an assist just walking out the barn - and what do all the numbers mean? its way too hard to kill someone - if i empty a magazine at an oncoming enemy he shouldnt be able to get a running rifle shot off to kill me in one plug ...
ok someone plz pm me - first i get issued this pea shooter that i empty into faces without results - ive played 12 matches and have 10 kills and something like 100 deaths - how do i get a better weapon? or do i just have to spend real money to get a decent rifle? unless im missing something i will just be an under-armed rookie every single game without any chance of buffs ...
i dont know why everyone is being exceptionally harsh on this game - it moves, the grinding isnt awful, the upgrades are cool - i like it and its way better than a lot of other games that get loving reviews
a good way to farm (ie max out your party) is to buff your rogue and do the challenge on the bridge - he makes mincemeat in about a minute and you get 12k a pop - its the next best thing to afk farming
what is the deal with the meteors???? is there any way to endure them?? it totally wrecks the game -- in earlier versions i at least made it through the second area - now its instadeath ...what am i missing?
Finally beat this piece of do-do -- here are some tips (culled from everyone else and put together here) -- blast the crab as close as you can -- avoid shooting the droid bot and concentrate your fire on the crab -- when the water comes down i finally got ON TOP of the water floating like a boat - this continues damage against the darned crustacean - when youre below the low water it takes no damage - keep ignoring the droid and pummel the thing - on the coral weapon try to be inside so you can keep shooting it - also with the electric fence -- avoid the electric eels and the minions and you should be victorious before the pearl shows up -- good luck and lets hope they never have a quest this sucky again
slight bugs (couldnt find the bug report thing on this page) - didnt get my badge for buying a carrier but the number of achievements recorded it - after killing all the pirates the objective to kill 10 officers didnt clear - and 'accurate' is spelled like that <--- haha
I have basically killed all the pirates and maxed out my ride meaning I've finished the game. And I feel a little sad. There is such a joyful, free feeling being out in this game's gorgeous space-scape that I actually found myself wishing this was true. The artwork inspires me, the gameplay is a great balance of rules and intuition, finally this game would be a great base for a more-involved story with quests, colonies, economies and choices. I've played space westerns since Elite and this one is the best.
unbelievable this game gets better as you go - thank you - probably the best game ive played in three years on this site -- when you want money add - stock market, price tables, more ships, different enemies, different fighting options, etc - i remember 'elite' and other early space games - you can be the greatest of all
