Put in a save feature or something.
I don't feel like having to go through all of this rubbish a 2nd or 3rd time because a browser crashes or an accidental pageback.
Sigh. Nice to see I can't get the badges or cards after the kong chat update. This games API went to snuff and nothing updates now. Oh well, guess that's 1 less card I'm not getting.
silentfrog sums it up nicely. Just a different twist on Hedgehog Launcher. Game is decent, but without even trying I finished on day4 just buying 3 planets and upgrading them to be spaced apart so the missle can never go down. Pretty dumb
Hitboxes are horrible. Most of the time i'll land a direct hit and nothing happens, yet terrain 5 meters behind will start to flux. Also, Screw advertising armorgames. 0/5
Also. To the Author who emailed me to re-review. The Polishing is significantly better. Most of the bugs/gripes I had are gone. There are a few things I could request, in the battle mode mainly. Hotkeys being added to command units/send army already purchased without having to re-window, this would allow knight streaming to function far better. Also, the small window being added for "Next wave approaching" can sometimes interfere with Catapult aiming (but not firing) until it's gone; either a pause until the window is closed or having it not interfere with the keyboard would be great.
Stimulus Package
Dude! You just completed the Stimulus Package achievement in The Great Siege and won the Stimulus Package badge and 15 points! - Don't know what you guys are talking about with Stimulus package not working. Best way to do it is after setting up your basic defenses (Saying 3-X or higher), just feed the Death Toll for Luminus by sending Footmen to their deaths.
Tons of gripes about this game. Lack of menu paging without refreshing. Random issues with the gambling system (Flamebreaker posted one of them). Game randomly chops up for no real reason. Battles can end for no reason what-so-ever. I've yet to lose a match, even when going afk to try and die; it simply says I win. There's a a TON of polishing and bug fixing that still needs to be done. If it were a finished product, i'd give a 4/5, but because it's not, I'm stressing ends to give a 2/5.
K. I'll bring some logic out of the straight complaints that have come.
Problem 1. No linear scaling - More than enough people have complained about that even with full firepower, it has 0 effect.
Problem 2. Map Zoning - Things that attack directly north or south have near 0 reflex time to prompt a response. Whereas E/W you have 3-5 seconds.
Problem 3. Turrets - The fire rate on them is terribad. There were times when even with 4 placed, wouldn't fire off one shot because of the fact it would spend forever just lining up a shot.
I could go on. Point is. Game is horrible.
Disregard that. Though it's a bit frustrating that I had to reload the game from scratch, do the level again (ha?) and then wait for it to update. Only game i've had that happen so far.
Decent game, but there seems to be a major leak for the gauntlet level. Lower end computers will just slow down to an uncrawlable chop. Even though there may be less creatures in the arena, the old memory retains. Kinda aggravating.
Achievements aren't updating for me. Which is really aggravating because I should have had them all. The only credit I've gotten so far is "1KO" and that was during a practice fight, where I didn't even get credited the practice win.
What a joke.
Too many times while trying to click on them as they spawn on the right side i'd click on that stupid ad and i'd instantly lose because of overswarming.
Also, far too much clicking involved. I want something fun, not something that will kill my hardware.
On an additonal note
Challenge 13 isn't more of a challenge than it is a huge loophole. With Hound (12dmg armor ignore) and City (Instant insanity) being played almost consistantly on the first to third turns. If something could be possibly tuned for that, it'd be great.
TONS of improvements over the original version. At least now i'm not totally bugged out :)
Fits the whole cthulian scheme very well and the new cards are great.
I wouldn't mind seeing a possibility of more variety in summon cards.
Also, for those of you talking about a deck editor. It'd be nice, but then the whole "Chaos and confusion" (e.g. Insanity) that comes with the Lovecraft series would be somewhat dissolved.
I have really nothing but gripes about this game.
Controls are extremly icy.
Extremely FPS forced game and most people can't play it to the extent necessary.
I'm on a 3.2 Dual Core with NVidia 8800 w/ 4g Ram and even with that, some of the controls felt laggy at times.
Personal issues -
For the love of god don't enforce camera swaps just to make it "feel" faster. It throws people off and makes them angry.
I've had situations where it was either "Hit a 10s blind EMP Mine or hit a tower". That type of randomness should be severely limited. Replay value is one thing but when this game is almost 100% luck than skill. It becomes played out and frustrates people more than compels them to return.
Oh, and make a toggle to go through the "walkthrough". Having to sit around for 30s every time I restart is just another thing that makes me not want to replay for achievements.
L1 - Metal Slug or an even more recent Flash game; Intrusion
L2 - Indestructotank, pretty obvious
L3 - Indestructocopter, I think that was the name.
L4 - There's been a myriad of sniper games
L5 - back to L1.
It just feels like AG ripped off a lot of the work other people have uploaded, got permitted to by EA and slapped in a quick hash-out. I'm sorry but this shouldn't even be here.
Really fun game but I encountered a rather large bug. After playing this on NG (before it was posted here) I had no issues, but playing a new game here not only were most of the icons not showing up, but I couldn't damage the computer until it was tainted for at least 1. After the first round I was immediately bumped to Rank20 (Yithian Scholar) and it's been like that ever since. :(
