Game is unplayable for me, won't cooperate with my laptop touchpad? Every time I start using WASD, the mouse becomes unresponsive. Never had this problem with another WASD+mouse game.
adored this game, much as i loved rhythm heaven and those like it. just thought i should point out that it works fine for me on your website, i haven't had to play offline, but the songs are not loading on kongregate for me. </3
I loved this. Must be played with the music on, it's simple but elegant, like the rest of the game. If you enjoyed this, it reminds me quite a bit of DS game series called 'Zero Escape'. <3 Played on Firefox, went just fine, but the use of enter for dialogue instead of mouse did not function. Worth sticking through to the end!
Had to mute the sound, the FF7 soundbites really ruined that part for me. Don't get me wrong, I love some nostalgia fodder- but here it feels misplaced and it was already too grating within the first five minutes.
Fun fact for achieving a higher rating : Using shrines will subtract from your score ( 150pts each ), but, if you've cleared the previous floor 100%, the option to rest there ( green 'up' arrow ) will not affect your score.
Hit a bug or something strange. Seventh stage, campaign, 104/105 enemies defeated... encountered a bone soldier that just wouldn't quit. I racked up a combo of 240 against it before I threw in the towel. It wasn't attacking me, though. It just followed me around the stage, letting me beat it to bits without actually doing anything in return. Screencapped it if you want visual reference.
So far, I feel like the quests are a little harder than they need to be. However, far more important than that- please, please better the autosave system. Closed the tab on accident and came back having gone from the last stage in the forest to the second stage overall. Brutal.
Best bit of advice I can give in regards to the boss?
Stop jumping.
I fought the entire battle on foot, and in doing so the pattern of the boss' bullets became incredibly easy to predict and avoid. Once you start jumping around, the boss seems to move away from you and is just not possible to shoot down. Just be patient, do some running around and dodging of the bullets and eventually he will drop down to the ground and let you get a shot in. Rinse and repeat for four total shots and you're good. The boss doesn't seem to change his pattern of attack at all through the process, so once you've figured out the rhythm you are golden.
p.s. - was anyone else reminded of a stormtrooper when he first popped out?
So, 'plankton' has a lavender outline, rather than black. Small detail, I know, but I spent the longest time thinking 'OKAY. THAT'S WHAT AN ELEMENT LOOKS LIKE WHEN IT CAN'T MIX WITH ANYTHING ELSE.' Nope, totally wrong. Outline's just... randomly purple.
'Mickey Mousecapade' has been haunting my dreams for years- so this here is somehow both terrifying and nostalgic. I don't know how I feel about it, to be honest. I really hated that NES game, but I still have the cartridge. I'M SO CONFLICTED. The theme's great, though.
