Severely flawed. Not only is this game COMPLETELY UNORIGINAL, but it's done poorly. It also has no endgame, and gets incredibly boring incredibly fast. Also, the title sucks.
Have you like never heard of critical hits? How about having enemy names next to health bars? Or a real story? Or good graphics and a CONSISTENT ART STYLE. Why the hell am I pixelated 16-bit goodness outside of battle.. but some crap vector illustration in battle? Also, all these HUMAN BEINGS that challenge you to battles.. why am I faced with BUGS during the battle?
It's nice to finally see a Flash version of this game. (I KNOW this was a standalone freeware game.) Also.. from what I can tell.. the player takes the role of an AI in some sort of simulated virtual world that has descended into rampancy after some kind of catastrophe that isolates it from its creators (I'm under the impression that it's a nuclear war of some sort, due to the references to madness, light, burning, and fire.) I'm seeing some parallels to the role of Durandal in the Marathon series by Bungie, as well as the setting of the short story "There Will Come Soft Rains" by Ray Bradbury. And I'm not gonna say something like "this game is deep" or "thought-provoking." It's more than that. It's infinite. (5/5 and faved, plus I'm gonna tell all my friends about it... More people need to play this game. There is not a single flaw [Okay, I take that back, it would have been better without music and instead a subtle eerie ambiance on the edge of the mind....])
It's got good graphics, solid controls, and a nice eco-friendly message.. but not much else. It does show that you could make a really good game, however! Fix the bugs and it's great! 3/5 (would be 4/5 it it wasn't so buggy...)
This game is severely lacking, but it does have potential. It need sounds and clear instructions... I have no idea what's going on... 2/5, and that's only because I know this could be a good game.
I'm so sick of the same escape game being rehashed over and over and over and over by 123bee. 1/5. I would rate it 0, but I wouldn't get any points if I did that.
2. The addition of humans was a great idea, but the execution wasn't all that great. They really just get in the way and don't add much to the gameplay. It would have been just the same to have simply put walls and crates and such where the humans are. The humans could have served as, say, moving obstacles or something. 3. Rockets are simply too difficult to aim. Even Tass can't get 3 stars on the levels! 4. The continue button after each level should do just that: continue directly to the next level. I don't want to bother with the level select screen if I say "continue." There should be a different button for that!!! 5. Superzombies were not needed. The extra ways of killing the undead should have simply been for extra points, not required at all. That's all I have to say. Wonder out.
It pisses me off that on my grave it says "Onelastwonder: The zombies ate HIM." I. AM. A. WOMAN. But anyway, I should get to actual commenting. There's plenty of fun to be had in this game. It's a HUGE improvement over the original. The first thing I noticed was the awesome music. Nice. The choice of characters is appreciated too (but I would like it if there was a real difference between them). Also, the physics seem to have changed quite a bit (headshots, the zombies tip over differently, and the projectiles arc in a rather odd way). More gore is always a plus! However, I do have several complaints: 1. It's rather annoying that the zombies don't get up or anything. [continued on nexrt comment]
