Finished the game on my 14th launch, wasnt even halfway upgraded but I got a really lucky map. I have to agree with everyone else, the upgrade system is all but useless. Winning this game is nothing more than just launch after launch until you get a map with good drops.
A word of caution: Be sure to get the zone 1 only achievements BEFORE you start upgrading your launch power. Even at half upgraded, you will completely skip zone 1 during launch, forever losing the opportunity to gain them.
"If within that faction, the majority has chosen to consolidate, then that faction gains 2x the points" so a consolidation action has no interaction with the other factions, if the majority chooses consolidate, regardless of attacks by other factions, we get 2x points... What is the advantage to attacking? Shouldnt we all just consolidate every time and not worry about failed quests?
If consolidation succeeds you get +2X points, and for each attack you don't win, you get -1X points. So in your scenario of 100% consolidation, the total would always be 0 points earned.
How the bloody #&$( did this make front page? Tedious controls, no magnet, no stage select. 1/5. Go play some games in this genre before you design them. Basic infallible law: any game that requires manual currency collection MUST have a magnet of some type.
Finally beat it. Last boss is nowhere near as difficult as 3rd boss. The way I beat 3rd boss was glaive arms and spike core. Just set the mouse cursor between his eyes and SM will circle it over and over. Took 3 tries with that config, but I got lucky.
If you are going to develop games for english speaking sites, please consider adding a native english speaker to your team for editing purposes. The level descriptions are painful.
Managed it in 54 nights, but I was ready to quit after 3. In a genre where details make or break a game, this one falls way short of even a cookie cutter launch game.
Fun game, nice mechanics, good upgrade scheme. A solid 4/5. Have a native english speaker gloss over the grammar and give us a numerical display for speed and its golden.
