The final badge should have been a 60 pointer, if not for difficulty, at least for sheer intestinal fortitude, that was the most tedious thing Ive done on this site.. worse than gemcraft..
I thoroughly enjoyed this game.
5/5 Engine Design
5/5 Artwork
5/5 Character Design
5/5 Ship Variety
5/5 Game Economy
4/5 Ship Control (-1 point for no noticeable speed reduction/improvement based on
ship size/armor)
5/5 Enemy Design
5/5 Enemy AI
5/5 Difficulty Balancing
3/5 Replay Value (-1 For ability to obtain all ships in one game, replay would be enhanced by
using a Ship Tree system like BT3. One game I might go armor and heavy
guns, the next I might go light fast and nimble.
-1 For lack of achievement markers. This does not detract from the enjoyability
of the game, merely the re-playability to get the ones I missed this time.
3/5 Music (-1 For repetition, -1 for clashing with the feel of the characters)
Overall I rate this game a solid 4/5. My hope is you will continue the fine work you have shown here and in the past
I made it to level 6 before I just couldn't force myself to keep going... I have been a fan of Longanimals' games for a long time, but this one is awful.
It really bothers me when I can play a game 100 times or 200 times and the skill I gain from it has NO bearing on my ability to play it. I have learned what powerups are good and which are harmful, I have a strategy for what part of the screen I sit on as the game progresses. but it all means absolutely nothing. In the end, my score has NOTHING to do with the buttons I press on my keyboard.
Any tips for making this game not lag so bad? I have like, 0 problem with any other game on kong, but this one just eats my lunch. I am already playing on low quality, at a low resolution, with images and whatnot disabled for the rest of the page. I am pushing 3Ghz with a 1Gb video card, something isnt right here. Other than that, wonderful game. I really enjoy it.
Awesome game. I really like seeing elements of rpg added to casual style games like this.
My only real comment is as exciting as this game can be most of the time, something about the art or programming or something makes me drowsy. I usually cannot make it through an entire adventure without taking a nap.
What can we screenshot to show we collected 100 space stars in one flight? The game does not separate the star types in the flight summary, nor is it a statistic we can look up in a stats page. The in-game achievement "Galaxy" is most likely but again it just says "100 stars in one flight" without mentioning space stars, even though a title like Galaxy would make it fit. I've done 3 flights now where I've collected over 200+ space stars and its not crediting.
*sniff* the ending is so sad.... masterfully done. If you ever make a standalone version of this that perhaps we could play in fullscreen, it would be worth a 5-10$ registration fee. Im not really an advocate of "premium" games, but this one is an exception. Give me fullscreen, and perhaps an extra chapter, and Id gladly pay for it.
Do not try to balance the board.. that is impossible. Instead, try to only realize the truth, there is no board. Once you realize that, you will see that it is not the board that balances, but the ball. And the true quest becomes clear, it is not, "How long can you balance the board?" it is, "How long can you dodge crush powerups after receiving the first one."
A long time ago when I first joined kongregate, there was a comment on the first game I ever played, and I find it gets more and more true as time goes on. "I have got to quit playing bad games just because I cant leave a badge unearned". While a decent concept, this game is poorly executed. Repetitive, boring, its almost like grinding in an rpg without the slow yet existant progress. How did this game get badges anyways? Usually a game needs at least a 4.0 rating to even be considered for badges
Horrible. Just Horrible. control is nonexistant, story is nonexistant. After the first objective I just held my mouse button down and moved it in circles while watching a movie on my second monitor. thats what the gameplay boils down to. hold your mouse down and go in circles until you win or lose.
I would really like to see a non-browser version of this. Id love to be able to do a real fullscreen, browser fullscreen doesnt really help the flash app. Ive been obsessed with this game for weeks now.. tukkun is simultaneously a god and a gd bastard. lol. this game will frustrate you to the point of madness, but for the completists like myself, the rush of achievement GET makes it allll worthwhile. I love this game.
I love this game, I played it on newgrounds long before I found Kongregate. my only beef with it is this: I can shoot him in the face with a sniper rifle, blow him up with a bomb, strap a rocket to him, burn him up with the temperature of a sun and nuke him with no ill effects more than a black eye... this turtle is god! His one weakness? simple metal spikes. sooo if I got into a fight with god at a strip club, all I need is a metal spike?
