Endless mode doesn't seem to increase in difficulty, and because ally life is bugged and for some reason they're basically immortal it's only really possible to lose by letting your leader get run over or running him into barbed wire. As far as I can tell the allies you start with are literally invulnerable, as nothing I can do kills them, making the solo run mission impossible. This could be a great game but it needed a couple weeks more of bug fixing.
dahelmang: there's a button between the picture of your wizard and your opponent that shows you all their known cards. Normally it just shows cards they've already played, the spyglass lets you see more.
I actually like this version more than the paid version. Sucky graphics and short (and nonsensical) campaign, sure, but speeding stuff up and achievements? Yes please! The achievements for winning a league are broken, though.
The classes (mostly) just have a different fifth element to choose from. They all get the same first four elements, and all get one point of mana in each per turn. Mad hermit and golem master also get a "free" creature, and vampire lord sucks a point of life from its creatures each turn, but I think that's all the special rules. Also, generally, in my experience: necro, chrono and sorc rock, hermit sucks.
Lots of mildly annoying bugs, the endless mode seems to get much easier (and more boring) after 1000m, but otherwise really good and reminds me of Band of Heroes. Love that game.
I love this game so much I want to marry it. Only issue I've seen is that the bonus cash for high life just encourages you to let the last guy live until your medpack recharges. Not sure how to fix it beyond just removing that bonus cash.
If you guys want to grind levels pretty fast, do custom game domination. Just you vs a team of 6 bots, choose a pretty easy setting, and run around killing them and taking back flags. Taking flags is big XP and killing guys (even low level ones) is decent.
I knew that this game would have an insane jump in difficulty at some point, given that it's a sequel to SFH and the Raze series. I was surprised that it wasn't until halfway through the hard difficulty though.
The sneaky cart start has random timing, Mario Kart timing (in all the ones I've played) is the same every race. Anyway, this is definitely my favorite Cyclomaniacs, for a crappy driver like me the change to wiping out makes it way less frustrating. Also, the progression seems more even.. no brick walls in difficulty.
Yeah, the "golden scarab" system is kind of goofy. When replaying earlier levels you have to try really hard not to kill the sun king just so you can keep getting coins. Gave it a 4/5 because it still has the fun and hectic action of a nerdook game, but the golden scarab system needs revision
I absolutely love the style of this game. I liked, but didn't love, the way it played.. didn't seem that different from most running games :/ PS: pity me for running 119s before hitting something
Like the game even more than Cyclomaniacs, but I think Kong messed up the badges a little.. the medium badge requires getting 1st on the hardest level, and the hard badge requires getting first on the easier levels and some other minor challenges. Just me or is that weird?
Love this game. Only problem is how freaking strong Selena is compared to the others.. the best team without her is weaker than the worst team with her. Pretty small complaint though.
