Unfortunately, if you get to a stage you can't beat and your weapons are locked, you can't advance. Not really the model to employ in this day and age in flash gaming. And my poor shoulder is tired of stage 9.
I'm reminded now of a fairly famous internet meme that involves the the word "moron".
In other news, I'm a bit annoyed by the way blobs can be "stuck" in the exit if they don't make it there by way of the spring. Perhaps extend the track a bit more?
Fun game though.
@BeyondElemental:
What's the point of even having MAX 10 in the config you provided? Doesn't actually change the rules since you can't buy anything after start.
fayumot: the help is pretty clearly given to you by the creature health meter, since it shows you strengths and weaknesses. I don't recommend tackling the end of the game without your race maxed out. Playing at the humans, your titan creature does major damage against the final final boss. But a lot of other things (like cannons and wizards) heal the boss. Pay attention to the weaknesses and summon accordingly.
For me here's a big problem: later weapons are sometimes less useful. The homing missiles are so underpowered compared to regular missles that you can't make a good attempt at either the speed run or the low damage run with them. When I get stuck with them, I kill myself and try again.
@iranaeus. I suspect that the small hunter ships keep coming until you take out the treasure ship. Next time I try level 12 (at Admiral, thank you), I'll be focusing more on the big ship, using evasion and the boarding magnet to avoid excess damage.
I think it's interesting how to succeed you have to make the opposing ships work against each other. Makes it less about brute force.
