Some other things: When you're at 90% damage, pray that you're lucky enough to survive to get to a water puddle. Henchmen can rip you to shreds if you don't avoid them fast enough. I would restart if you get to 2 miles with over half damage (or even 1/4). On avoiding mines, try to drive straight until the helicopter drops it, then move to a different part of the road. Rinse and repeat. Of course, you'd be best off taking out helicopters as soon as possible. On the police cars, the rear-ending will make this challenge hell. As I said drive in the middle of the screen, if a police car is going to hit you, then strafe on either side of the road. Slow down if necessary, but most likely you'll have to overtake the police car again unless it gets destroyed somehow. Be aggressive. You can rear-end police cars with no damage, and pushing police cars from the side may be necessary to ensure that you aren't forced into an obstacle.
9.25 miles on last challenge: Play normally, don't use the police cars as escorts (I tried this with driving at 20-25 mph but the helicopters and henchmen killed me every time). Use boost on ramps only to take down helicopters and to get past construction sites. Stay relatively in the middle of the screen, but you should speed up to avoid getting rear-ended and slow down to be able to react fast enough to obstacles or to let police cars hit other objects. Remember that the only objects that don't disappear upon being hit are road sites, cacti, and power poles (yes this doesn't include spikes). Stay on either the right lane or the left lane, never the middle. This allows you to go the side of the road to avoid stuff if necessary.
I've been following a +15 post about the fastest way to gain levels. I have to disagree with swimming. You get about 1 level for each 2000 points in the first minigame. That sounds like alot, but with how fast points are accumulated I believe it makes it the fastest way to get swimming levels.
For level 36, I built a jelly producer for the leftmost cell and a lab on the rightmost cell. Freeze the red lab as soon as possible. Next part is the tricky part. Take an enemy jelly producer and the fort (but you MUST move to a different part of the map, not the south cells). The thing is that you want to store jelly in the fort (so that your enemies can't attack it), but you'll need a source of jelly. If all goes right, your enemies will attack each other, while you'll grow stronger.
These levels are flying by, once I realized that Infect is hands-down the most effective at stopping the opponent, although you may want to use Freeze to stop any Labs.
I really like this game. Gameplay reminds me of Dink Smallwood, which resembles Zelda. So I guess this game reminds me of Zelda. Looking forward to the sequel... I mean I've played like 5 minutes of this game, but I'm loving it.
