demonangel47 ip block is in place to prevent cheating, although i could understand him limiting this in unrated game to allow those in your situation to play.
It could be possible Abalore was tired of paying 90$ a month for a game with a bunch of complainers that he can't seem to do good enough for, with which he has last i checked, made under 40$'s total from, and seeing as how there aren't that many new players, and the top 10 hasn't changed in months *donators* it is unlikely his income has improved much.
This could be the end of WRII. And i wouldn't blame Abalore if it was.
I tried the sitting still for the 1k chain 3 times without getting it, each time going through and learning the enemies *after i get hit* to see how i do.. and decided that the vessels on about level 12-14 are much better to get that combo on.. after the third fail on the easy beginning, getting between 900-950 and making a dumb mistake, i went and got 2000-2050 against the vessels, and now just gotta go through and max each of my stats
the new map seems unbalanced, 4 territories 2 borders with +4.. and 6 territories, 2 borders with +2? then 5 territories 4 borders with only +3
like seriously
Andrew, then you suggest he change it so rated games are non-standard?
that way 90% of people that play teh game will stay at 1000 anyways and might as well use guests instead...
the reasons why you have trouble finding good games as a guest now, is cause guests tend to be suiciders, cheaters, or teamers, and people don't want to group with them in most cases, that's why people called for guests being exiled from rated games, as they would intentionally attack people just to hurt their rating.. you can still find just as good of games without ratings, just the noobs that make games with their 1000 new kong accounts aren't going to have to deal with *as much* of the filth of this game.
mike, rating has very little to do with how they will do in that game. people often team higher rating people, so they tend to lose.. high rating merely means that you win more often then average, the odds of winning each match are dependent on your luck in that match, as well as strategy, failteams, suiciders, etc. many of which tend to be balanced against high rating players...
I'd like to say, as one of the higher players.. I'd like an option to be able to hide ranks inside the maps, or possibly even names, save for your own, to make it to be a more fair game. I am here to play risk, not hoard rating, and i hate people suiciding me just cause i happen to have more rating then average.
htin, it's kinda cool, but i have the same problem i have in 9/10ths of other japan oriented games.. i start at one end and start working around, and someone else is sweeping faster then me on the other end :/
lux888, do points really matter? and are you sure exact same? playing vs guests/bots gives so little it seems the same :P also make sure it's a rated game..
