It is a decent concept but the controls are very odd. If you gave a better explanation of the controls, especially how to properly use super jump then you might have a winner.
There are a few things that just make this game horrible. And that is a shame because you can tell there was some real work put into it. One basic thing that is missing though is that waves need a visible timer so you can tell when the next one is coming. Also the tank types need balancing. The toxic tank is way overpowered and many others are underpowered.
Kind of glitchy and needs better art but not a bad start. I especially like the level where you have limited visibility distance with a lantern effect. Some suggestions: give the ball a life bar, and maybe some weapons and enemies.
This is a very well made and original game. I was kind of concerned about the weird controls at first but they are used to good effect. I'm not much for cute kittens and birds and whatnot but despite that I really liked the graphics.
Very fun game. Some of the levels need to be balanced a bit though. Particularly the Blob Bonanza level. It is not too bad on normal mode but once you get to hard mode it is a major impediment.
I understand this is meant to be a statement and I think you are preaching to the choir by saying DRM/DMCA sucks. But instead of frustrating the hell out of your player with a nigh impossible control scheme and time limit you could have made a great little platformer where the player gets the cathartic experience of defeating the evil music industry control freaks. As it is now your game will fade into obscurity as will your message.
3/5 lots of potential here. Graphics need improvement, maybe label the various gun parts so we know what effect they might have. Make the text on the health, ammo bars etc. legible. Keep working on it, you have a winning concept here.
This could be a really great geme but there are a couple things that need to be changed/fixed/added. First thing I would like to see is the ability to command soldiers to target a specific bug. Second, the AI on the rocket soldiers sucks. They hesitate to fire due to switching back and forth between multiple targets and they stop firing if targets get too close. If they are going to have a minimum firing range please make them able to fire on targets on other walls. Also deducting points for losing soldiers and walls is really stupid. All that does is ensure that if you have a tough round you will not survive the next. Soldiers also level far too slowly and there is little indication that leveling provides any benefit. In any case the bugs scale much faster to the point of near indestructability in later rounds. My suggestion is to implement some kind of upgrade system so soldiers, turrets, and walls can be improved in various ways.
I don't know if the game is bugged or what but there is a spot that seems impossible to get past. In the castle or whatever after you bust open the door to let the monk through, there are two knights on horses that seem stuck in place on some spikes. There is no way to jump over them or duck under them. Is anyone else experiencing this. Aside from being apparently bugged, it is a pretty decent game.
This is a great game. I like being forced to try different things to figure each puzzle out. They made you think but were not brain busting. Edmund overflows with creativity!
