I suspect it would be a lot more intuitive to play if if lines' origins followed the mouse until the line is completed rather than the initial click point being fixed onto the background. I like the game a lot regardless.
"One suggestion: Defense is spelled with an s. It's true, I'm a jerk who can't overlook spelling mistakes in game titles."
Apparently an ignorant American jerk at that.
glitch: sometimes the enemy stops serving and defaults on time for the rest of the session.
Maybe playing vs 2 enemies to increase difficulty rather than simply making the spinners more and more annoying would be nice.
Considering all the challenge in this game is in optimising clicks/time, the game's really not optimised for optimisation... Need level by level scoring, best scores displayed on level select.
More about quick clicking than quick addition unfortunately. Would be better with a larger sum to add to and slower numbers than represent a smaller fraction of that sum.
and I guess the 'shoot slightly thru walls for reduced dmg' thing was a bug, not a feature? Which was the only point in using plasma gun over maxed shotgun before.
Overall I feel like something with the potential to become a mini deus ex 2d (aka Iji) has just turned into another Infraction with excessive randomness.
Ironically enough this has a whole ton of bugs the alpha didn't. Shame the game got rushed at the final hurdle, can't honestly say this is an improvement on 1.6(iirc?) at all.
oh man I remember this old game from my DOS days... centipede I think it was called. The original was so addictive, it loses a lot of its charm in this conversion though with less clear graphics.
Pretty good once I realised pirates had to match. More variation need than simply changing position/number of boats and more pirate types and more score bonuses as well; getting 4 pirates in 1 shot for example.
