I found it a little bit boring. Using a friend from time to time is fun, but using it all the time just makes the game slow. It would have been more entertaining if your pet was something you freed at a certain useful point in certain levels. I played through seven levels and found it cute, but repetative, slow and easy.
Like most everyone else, I LOVE it (I don't understand why this game needs Unity though???? It's very low spec indeed. I had to wait a month until I had a new laptop and it was quite embarrassing seeing this game crash my old laptop :p) Another small issue, I would have prefered to name myself after finding out that I was a girl.
Fun game. I apreciate the effort of animating the various deaths. Some of the puzzles were a bit clumbsy though. Having to quicky turn wheels while the vamp flies is not much fun. 3/5
LOL first screen and already hilarious dialogue (You're supposed to talk to the mushroom king first, I'd hoped that would be obvious). 5 stars. Good job. I hope it will be viable for you to get voice actors for the next game.
Always exciting to see a Soul game. You have created a great brand there. All so different but all so good. It does seem almost ironic that the first medieval Soul game was renouned for being anti-grind, however :D
Some improvemtns: 1) Definitely needs an autospawn to accompany the autotrain. It is an "idle" game afterall. 2) The units should be organised into unit types in the tabs below to allow you to easily maintain your desired unit mix -EG. 5 soldiers, 5 Wizzards. (Not really necessary if you do add that autospawn). 3) It's annoying that you can never see your town because it's always obscured by massive progress bars and 'hire' tabs. 4) For future games, these 3D graphics don't really work. They are a lot of work for you and really it's too difficult to watch your units comfortably and the battles don't look great with all that unit overlap. A simpler 2D engine would have made for a much more pleasant gaming experience.
Excellent ideas! Thanks for the notes! I'll put these great ideas on the to-do list.
