I actually got the hard badge so listen up - not only is speed not everything, TOO MUCH SPEED IS ACTUALLY BAD. If you get going too fast, hold the up key so that you crush anything you hit. This will reliably preserve your combo and direction until you slow down enough to be able to maneuver in a controlled manner again.
Take a look at Populous for some inspiration for the next version. I think you might have a mulit-player winner (and presumably a cash cow) if you allow payers to fight each other. Maybe use a Risk board game style 2D map. Don't make it like Civ though.
Iydalverm: it's a Kongregate thing. Regardless of merit, any comment that is not some variation on 'wow, awesome game 5/5' stands a 1d4 chance to get down-voted. One exception is when it gets a developer response - then even *INSERT WHARRGARBL* can get voted up all the way to the top.
