The music is relaxing at first, but after a while it gets REALLY IRRITATING! Would be nice to have something a little more... ambient, or something? I dunno. I have Tourette's Syndrome, and this music gives me an uncomfortable urge to curse along to it. It's just the right combination of... static and driving. Or something.
This game is beautiful (and great music, too). Difficulty ramps up at a mostly good pace (I got stuck on lvl 14 for a while with maximum upgrades and all cheats on, after clearing the previous levels with no cheats). The 3HP medal was a real accomplishment to get even with cheats! All in all, a very worthy spinoff of the venerable Epic Battle Fantasy series.
It is SERIOUSLY annoying how there's no way to restart a level, given that it's very hard to die with full upgrades and you've CLEARLY made getting a star on every level an objective for the player.
The controls are so sloppy, the low-friction blocks seem to be randomly placed, pits appear from offscreen, and there are no checkpoints (or at least I didn't see any before I gave up). This game is unplayable. If you are going to make a game with really simple graphics like this, you need to have good gameplay, and this game doesn't deliver.
Please add an "Are you sure you want to go down to the next level" feature. I accidentally fell down the first hole and it annoyed me. P.S. "Insulated copper boots"? But copper's like the best conductor of heat there is...
"Chilling atmosphere"? Um... do you mean "chill atmosphere"? "Chillaxing atmosphere"? This game is relaxing, good for a chillout, certainly not chilling...
Come on. Don't use laziness and poor design as a "feature". We all know the only reason the player can't restart if they die is because you're unable or unwilling to implement a simple restart button.
I like acid as much as the next guy, but anyone who says you need to be on drugs or mentally ill to create or understand something like this, is insulting everybody who creates and watches Flash animations/games.
