Alright, WHATEVER. First you put GRINDING in a metroidvania game, then you make me read the comments to figure out how to unfreeze that dude (yeah, it makes sense, kind of, but how many players will even realize on their first playthrough that you CAN lower damage to 0? RPGs rarely let you lower a skill below baseline, especially to 0!), then a bunch of boring jumping/freezing puzzles later, I finally get to the part where I escape the temple, and I get to put myself in a literally unwinnable position by freezing one of the flying enemies in a spot that blocks the way to the correct path where I can't unfreeze it! I quit!
I have nothing against art games as a genre, but I don't like this. I've experienced romantic love, and this game did nothing to remind me of what it was like.
I only played last night and the game's still loading so I don't know if this is an unlisted feature of the update or not, but: autoreload, please? (as in a mouse click reloads when there's no ammo in the clip)
My geometry hurts. Anyway, that music is seriously sick. I googled Brother Android to find out more about this artist, and was pleasantly surprised to find out that he did the soundtrack for Hero Core, an excellent windows freeware metroidvania game, as well.
Ugh--one body disappeared whenever I crossed a certain line... managed to get that body by going back and forth and confusing the loading zone... now I'm lost with nothing but black space in every direction and one body to go :(
the controls are crap (what exactly is the best hand position to hit the S, C, and H keys?) and there appears to be no reason to use any form except helicopter.
I don't see why the racism/countryism is necessary. Also, it takes too long to get enough money to buy the first upgrade. It's annoying how hitting an obstacle doesn't merely slow down the player but practically or literally completely stops the player.
Why does vomiting coffee at rectangles through a black tube save people? Also, clicking doesn't do anything if you click the player character or the rectangles. I realize that this is a very early work in progress, but I just don't see the point in releasing a game this early on. The nonworking features are so obvious that I don't see why you need players to test your game yet.
Add some invisible walls around the edge of the map. And FOR GOD'S SAKE, that loud game over explosion noise is startling and jarring in a game that's otherwise silent.
On level 12, one of the required green squares made a very imperceptible difference. Quite aggravating and unfair to the player. Good game overall, though. Not challenging, but very pretty and relaxing.
