Well, the game really works...I'm craving fried chicken! I enjoyed this game for a while but it got boring pretty quickly. Very cute graphics and fun idea...but not much in the gaming area.
I think there's a good game idea here but it hasn't been developed. The graphics are great but the movement isn't. I would like it if the subs and ships moved more like real vessels would. The movement in the game is rapid and unrealistic. Also...I wanna hear ships blow up!
I don't get it. I'm typing away just fine when suddenly there are 3 ninjas throwing letters at my temple. No matter what I typed none of the letters disappeared. I was instructed to keep pressing the up button...but that did nothing. I stopped pressing buttons...and still...nothing changed. Ninjas kept hurling letters at me but no damage done to temple. Was game stuck?
One more thought...I didn't find the "finger" part of typing to be challenging...it was the "see, recognize, tell the fingers what to do" part that I found most challenging...reaction time. Not challenging in a bad way but rather a great brain exercise....honestly. I think playing this game is very good for reinforcing eye-brain-hand reflexes. It's much more challenging (and cognitively beneficial) that simply hitting a "fire" button whenever an enemy appears on the screen. Yes...I'm an "older" gamer...you could probably tell from my comments.
I was drawn to this game at first because I'd never seen anything like it before. I think the overall graphics and music are great but I had trouble reading some of the letters at times...especially with non-sense words. I found the letters M, N, and H pretty tough to make out.
I did fine on the typing part of the game but the boss levels...I just didn't understand some of the ones without onscreen instructions. Personally, I would prefer a non-timed puzzle between levels. I think it would give players a chance to recover from stressful speed typing...for those who don't type quickly...and act as a "pause" function. Just an idea.
I think I'm going to end up really liking this game after some practice but some initial thoughts...
First, the game needs some music and/or sound effects. Maybe even a "gnarly wipe-out" here and there.
Secondly, it would be helpful to either have a little more info in instructions or some onscreen pointers while actually surfing. Just a couple thoughts...
Two things:
1. Someone tell those stupid bricks to stop landing on me and squashing me!
2. I am very good at getting myself boxed in and drowning. If that was the object of the game...I'd have best record for sure. LOL
Fun game...I'm gonna go try it some more now...
If I might direct you to the series, "Understanding Games"...this "game" does not have the elements required to make it a game. It's either "Paper Dolls" for the lazy generation (we have to actually cut out the clothing for your dolls) or it's "non-game" entertainment for all the idiot pervs who keep trying to take the rest of the covering OFF of poor innocent Alba.
Not a game. It's just dragging a few picture around on the screen.
