I really like the interesting extras added to this match game but the game needs to have some challenge to it. Perhaps adding additional colors or balloons that can't be popped? Fun game, but boring after a while.
I think is a really good game. The lady bugs look good and their movement is quite a bit like actually sliding around on ice...except they don't fall on their bums like I often do. I like what you did with the sound in this game too. The music isn't annoying and actually adds something to the mood of the game. My favorite sound effect is the noise made by the sliding lady bugs. I think you chose the perfect sounds. The sounds even suggest faster and slower sliding. Reminds me of Olympic curling...ithe sound of the stones moving down the lane of ice. Funny, the lady bugs are even shaped a lot like curling stones.
Fun, relaxing game...good for late night playing when I don't wanna think too hard.
I disagree with some of phannen's comments -- Sorry. For one, I think the music theme is part of the fun. Sure, some of the levels can easily be beaten regardless of timing but in nearly every level, there is a certain timing sequence that not only beats the level, but also sounds right. When balls are released at the right time you end up with a layered "groove" that sounds good vs. a bunch of individual rhythms that don't quite work together.
My second point of disagreement is whether or not it should be easier to time when a ball starts. I think that would take away from the game. Part of the challenge is being able to count and "feel" when to begin each part of the rhythm track.
I think this game is fresh and unique. I love it the way it is. I am having some trouble with the game not saving my progress however...but besides that...5/5
I like this game...it's fun. I keep catching myself tilting the direction I move the little guy in the game. LOL
One thing that would make the game even more fun for me would be points. It would be fun to have points accumulate as I survive during the game. It would keep me encouraged and give me a chance to try to improve my score each time I play.
Game enhancement idea: Provide up with major weapons so we can blast those stupid "buzz saws" to bits!!!
As much as I hate the buzz saw blade things...I have to admit they add a good amount of challenge to the game...and points to my stress level. LOL
I'm not even going to attempt to play the game. The text is horrible and the idea of a gang running a poker operation is laughable. Gang bangers aren't known for their intelligence...they are generally quite the opposite because few of them finish any grade higher than about the 9th. This game would be more believable if you used a fraternity or a group of nerds who are math wizards...like the real group who did this from MIT.
Blackjack aside, I don't want to play a game where the goal is to try to move up in a gang. I'd rather play a game that is anti-gang.
I like your idea and could really enjoy the game except that it's just too overwhelming on my eyes. If things moved a bit slower it might help. Also, it would be helpful if you added a keystroke command to advance to next screen. It's difficult getting that tiny dot on the also tiny arrow when my computer is bogging down from the game.
I'm not normally into find the difference games, but this one is much more fun that the more typical "find the differences" games. The characters are great! So cute...and funny. The animation ads some charm to the game without going too far and becoming a distraction. I love how you make something fun out of a game that is otherwise just ok.
