The only thing better than Medieval Cop was Medieval Cop 2. The only thing better than Medieval Cop 2 was Medieval Cop 3. The only thing better than Medieval Cop 3 was Medieval Cop 4, where I started watching the series. And now, I can say: the only thing better than Medieval Cop 4 is Medieval Cop 5, which has left me EAGERLY awaiting the next episode.
That moment when you manage to complete the game in spite of missing a major clue. "Sledgehammer? /what/ sledgehammer? I couldn't find any sledgehammer!"
I had an amazing thought after I tiered up once: after noticing that the blueprint amount invested was reset, I had the genius idea of trying the challenges, since I figured I'd be a tier above them, thus, instantly kill them. I was deeply disappointed, albeit impressed at the foresight, to learn this was not the case.
After having played through this game, I can't say I agree with joeygoku1's comment at the top--the game is so awesome, why would I *want* to see all the endings at the same time? It'd be so worth it to play through the game *that* many times. ;)
My way to the 1800? Max rocket, max wheel, hit the timing at their recommended spots (imagine that), then handstand over and over again. Up, up, down, up, up, down, as fast as I could. Took me a while to get it. The timing has to be perfect (else you don't have enough air to perform enough), and you have to be fast enough to perform nine successfully. After many 1000s, 1200s, 1400s, and the occasional frustrating 1600-and-killed-JUST-before-the-last, plus a 1700 near-miss (from a 1400+flip), I finally got it.
I like your idea, Koolkid1199. It's always nice to have a place to talk to characters currently not in the party, like in, say, Chrono Trigger (the end of time). Just imagine all the lampshading which could occur!
HA, TAKE THAT SECURITY DEMON! I swear, only a fool would pay 500 gold for a Golden pass. Me? I got it for a mere 200. Who knows, that extra 300 gold might be useful some time in the future! (Despite me having earned over a million so far...)
I enter Aeropolis with: Half a Million gold. "I'll buy everything in here, no problems at all!" I leave Aeropolis: dirt broke, without having bought everything I set out to buy. Oh, and my characters had gone through every single combination of equipment possible to that point and mastered it. Now? Got to go through 125 new combinations for all of them. (An average of about 18 combinations per person.) My game? Already at 135 hours played. To get every item possible at this stage in the game and master every piece of equipment possible at this stage, I'd say that number could very easily double. I love this game.
Heh. I defeated the Bone Demon without having set foot in Aeropolis. Granted, I had to level grind Mardek to 41, Donovan and Sharla to 36, and Solaar to 26, I had good item and skill placement, and it took a little luck, but still, I did it. Next stop, Security Demon! How much harder could it be...? :P
Best heroes in the game? The Wanted Man after I used an element switch to Cold, and Defender Jameson. Fast, Strong, 3-Ranged basic units, opposite elements...took me forever to finally get Jameson, but when I did, I found that pretty much every single level--be it with Jameson, Wanted Man, or both--was a pushover. (Also, for upgrading yourself, upgrade Wisdom to the Max first. It'll make you upgrade faster in the long-run. For upgrading units, Wisdom comes first, then Logistics [17 G for a basic unit, 71 for an advanced!], then tactics [get units upgrading sooner], and then leadership [cheaper upgrades]. I've found that upgrading Type, Element, and Special skills to be pretty wasteful.)
Dang. So close to the hard achievement. 17/18. And yet, Elder Gornash's final battle always kills me. I could be massacring him, but as soon as he places one of those evil eye things (which kills EVERYTHING. Not just my weak units, but even the most elite ones I have can only take a couple hits, whereas even things such as zombies--historically my damage absorbers which saved me from archers picking off my grunts before--were killed in a single hit!) I lose DOZENS of units within SECONDS. And it's kinda hard to recover from your entire deck being wiped out by a single unit. >_<
On factions: Tyria I often get confused with Protectorate, because "rightful owners of the land" seems Arrogant itself. And similar units. Skaran I often get confused with Chaotic Covenant, since both're mysterious groups doing shady activities. And have similar unit tendencies. Hillhome get confused with Tribes of Gorland, since both're Proud Warrior Races with lots of melee/melee-like units. Additionally, 20 heroes SHOULD be enough, but we're 3 heroes: to have all units, you must have 23 heroes, since there's 46 units, and it's disappointing to choose which six I do not employ. Which apparently will be the Council Spellsword, Council Mage (name?), Tyria Crossbow, Tyria Legionaire, Guild Gentleman, Guild (? don't know the name). Which is kinda annoying.
Thanks for your continuing support to the series. I hope you stick around for more. :D
