Not being able to attack before moving is what makes this game really hardcore. When you reach the office it becomes very hard to place yourself in a way that you can hit a zombie but they can't reach and hit you on their turn.
@alch2555 there is a google spreadsheet where you can find kinda the same informations you would look for in a wiki. Look at the top comments and use link provided by bhaas.
I am sure this game has a great plot but I managed to get all badges without reading a single line of what was being sad. Took me less than 10 minutes.
Will probably come back in the future to actually enjoy the game.
My computer shutdown as I was about to win a level and I thought I had lost all progress on that level. When I came back my progress was auto-saved and I was able to continue from turn 40, that's just awesome. It's stuff like this that elevate a game to a whole other level.
Considering the time and effort it's required to kill all 5 mega-bosses that badge should be ranked "impossible". I think I am close to beat the fifth and it took me a couple of months of daily play to get this point. Maybe it's just me and I am very bad at this game :D I tried to follow guides and focus on arrow damage, although it helped it's certainly not enough to get the hard badge. That badge requires time, and a lot of it.
I think I found another glitch. I know development on this game is halted, but I'll leave this here anyway. Dwarves give a +1 bonus to items while wearing them, and when you unequip the item, it’s supposed to lose the +1. This works correctly when you directly unequip the item. However, if you swap the item for another one, it retains the +1 bonus. You can't exploit this to stack multiple levels on the same item, but you can use it to give all your items a +1 boost for all your heroes, as if they were dwarves too. I guess the dwarves like sharing the fruits of their labor with their comrades!
I'm trying a new strategy that's working well. I bought an elf-monk and equipped him with the best "class ability %" items to maximize his exp gain. I level him up with 20-minute exp quests and then use his high level to access higher level quests. The first quest in any location matches the highest level character's level plus 2. For example, keeping him at level 30 gives me level 32 quests, which I assign to 5 low-level adventurers who can safely complete them at 100+%. Exiting and reopening the location yields another level 32 quest, continuing until the final quest where the {max_level}+2 formula doesn't apply. After assigning high-level quests to other adventurers, I send my elf-monk on a medium exp level 32 quest to keep leveling him. This strategy is working well, and I'm close to buying the mythos race. If you haven't unlocked the elf race, you can use a fairy, as they also have a Strong Class Modifier.
After selling your company you can retain a single item with the buyback feature.
I think this may be a bug since you should not be able to bring any item in your new company.
I get that the medium badge doesn't require any skill: just log every day and buy anything you can with the money accumulated. There is not prestige, ascension or complex system in this idle game so there isn't that much of a strategy to follow as far as I understand. However, even if it doesn't require much skill it still requires time, and a lot of it. I think that lately badge difficulties are very bad managed, their actual difficulty and time consumption is raising at an alarming rate. I used to get hard or impossible badges with this kind of effort. Nowadays I just get bored to death to complete medium badges.
They should really amp up the level of these badges.
"First Days on the Farm" is borderline medium.
"After the First Week" I guess should be borderline hard but I have not yet completed it so my opinion may change.
"Experienced Farmers Badge" must be hard. It took me two days just to get 2 stars with the first character, getting them with 7 more character must take a long time and badge level should also reflect how much time it takes to complete them, not just how skillful you must be.
I used cyclone strike on my warrior while under blood lust, high strength, maybe even potion of power while wielding a lance and being sorrounded by a bunch of enemies in the arcane tower and the game just crushed. Probably too much damage to handle or killing too many enemies at once triggered something strange.
I have completed impossible badges that were far easier than this easy badge. Fortunately after serious training, full concentration, zero latency and insane amount of luck I managed to complete 5 tracks in a row. I feel like these game are good and easy for people who have a good rythm and are already trained in playing at least an instrument.
@Firien: that's what I meant, the game is balanced in such a way that auto-prestiging after 4 layer is almost never worth it. I am on prestige layer 18 right now and most of my layers go untouched most of the time.
Anyways, can't wait to see what Ascension is like, I suppose it will be like a prestige but even more crazy, like resetting your armory and your heroes. I could search for it online but I rather keep it unspoiled until I reach it, I am at 82% for ascension so I should not be too far.
auto-prestige won't prestige past layer 4 for me. I think there's a loop where you can't ever prestige past a certain layer if you use the preset "Biggest stat gain on small floor change". I would gain ee5.64 on layer 5 if I were to prestige but I guess it's not worth it for the biggest stat gain algorithm.
On that note... what is ee5.64 supposed to mean? 10^10^5.64? That's some big heavy number if that's what it really means. I guess I am nearing stupidly big numbers like the Googolplex, which would then be written ee100 or eee2 if this is indeed how the game is compacting these numbers.
Just go the the upper street and run straight, use all your power up on knives and at a certain point (if you have a cooldown upgrade unlocked) the game wins itself.
The impossible and hard badges are too easy whilst the easy badge is too hard, they should swap the difficulties.
There seem to be something strange, when I put the game window in background the progress seems to slow down, if I keep the game on my screen the progress starts to speed up a lot. It’s not the nitro boost and it’s driving me crazy, an idle game shouldn’t require you to watch the game while it is running. Maybe it’s just me but I’ve noticed more than one time and it just doesn’t make any sense.
