My first ending made me an explorer! This little detail at the end that gives you a "title" based on your first ending is very nice! I liked it a lot despite being a tiny apparently unimportant detail.
The easiest level was the last one, if I had 5 or maybe 10 more turns I could have probably destroyed all the enemies exits. The secret was just to hide a soldier with an assault rifle behind a corner and defend yourself, you become invicible, it doesn't matter how many enemies will reach you in a single turn, you will one-shot them all without even wasting ammo.
Awesome game! It would have been cool if you could have feed the young dragon several pigs to make him grow and then use an adult dragon to leave the island as an alternate ending.
It would be nice to see a sequel of this. It would be cool if there were special customers (like critics on other papa's games) that want 2 weapons because they dual wield it: - Lion: 1 sword + 1 shield - Horse: 1 pike + 1 shield - Crocodile: 1 mace + 1 shield - Gorilla: 1 axe + 1 shield - Cheetah: 2 swords - Elephant: 2 maces - Tiger: 2 axes
Upgradind Tiny Wings to the max just makes the duck harder to control! That is crazy and there's no way to sell/disable this upgrade, that's just sad :(
I've completed the game, killed the dragon, built the gold machine and sound tech to deliver music to the city, I've got tons of friends, from cats to mouses, from creatures of the ocean to cut trunk. I've completed day 100, have more than 4600 citizens, more than 760 happyness and I'm buried in a mountain of gold, yet my only regret is accidentally refusing Madame Abeille request to make more money with extra candies... She asked me once then she showed up on the edge of a glycemic coma since she's been drowning herself in sugar after my denial. I wonder what she could have done... maybe she would have started building a chocolate palace if I accepted her request... who knows. I'll die not knowing this.
I think the strongest class is the Storm Mage, people seem to like fire mage so much but when a storm mage is close to a pool of water he is invincible, he can beat any wave of monsters, moreover Thunderclap is very strong at high levels. I like this game difficulty level but I would have liked to get more useful gear, to enchant my staff at level 5 or more and have all the useful warrior talents to be the perfect storm warmage! When I won I was like: "is that it? It was hard to win but... I wanted to develop this class a little more!"
I played the entire game using a balanced build, trying to focus on those who have more hp and more damage, putting tanks on first lane and then gradually putting my troops with less health behind. I could beat everything (even the boss) but the last island... that one 14-30. I had everything maxed out but bomb attack (level 4) but it was not enough. So I said: wait, let's try something stupid: 35 barrel vikings and 1 of the others. I just thought: They are harder to kill so they will last enough to make me fire my special attacks multiple times, furthermore even if they number decreases the bonus with their special attack stays the same. I thought I was missing something and that it was just a stupid idea. It worked just fine, beated 14-30 like it was nothing.
I was disappointed by the survival mode: it was so easy I could literally go on forever just brainlessly shooting without even needing to aim. I saw no difficulty growth and went from 0 to 50 million score without losing a single heart. I think a survival game should stop when you are not skilled enough to continue not when you are just tired after 120 minutes and it's not even fun anymore. It was my first try on survival and I had to stop playing at all to stop it. The rest of the game is quite good though. 4/5
I am disappointed. This is a very good game but it has some major issues that kinda ruin it. At the end of the game I started lagging so hard I could not even move, reloading or lowering graphics did not work. I used high graphic settings with no problem till the very end (last three zones) so I can't understand what does cause the lag, it lags even on free areas with no monster. Furthermore I never found the last inspector, it seems bugged, I checked every zone with my radar but I can not find it anywhere. I was intrigued when they asked me to find Bear, I found him, then I found Matthew but it seems you can not get any further because it's bugged for everybody. I hoped we would have been able to find a cure but it's either bugged or maybe it will continue on decision IV.
It's a lot easier selling all your money upgrades ($70'000) to get your last upgrade ($75'000 or less). You won't need money boost after that anyways, and there's not an achievment that requires all upgrades.
3 stars. A good game but I'm so sad about swordsman and whipman, they look cool and I wanted to try them :( I would have rated this 4 stars if those characters were not mobile only.
Item generation is too random. I wanna buy the templar consacrated armor but I can not even though I have almost unlocked the whole set because they are too randomly generated and I want the best piece ever to replace my oni armor, so I'm waiting to find a quality 10 piece with the perfect stats with no luck. You should put some quality booster and armor stat modifier to make us customize our armor as we please. They could cost something like 20k golds for the quality booster and 50k golds for the stat modifier, at the end of the game you make so much useless gold and it's annoying you can't use it anymore. They could even cost shards or be the rewards for impossible mode but just add them.
This is planned... although you'll need more than pigs to get the dragon to grow big enough!
