The interface could be improved. No scrolling, just list, along with what the item will do. Make it easier to check the research. Maybe list what percentages are needed for the reactions with mouse over. Basically, the game feels trudgey at points because of all this back and forth in menus.
Great game, only concern is that the game seems to go a little fast, so I can't really cast any spells. The enemies either die before I can get enough rage, or they make me use potion after potion to keep up.
Please tell people you can also press space to "unpause" the game. I've spent near 10 points on upgrades I don't want, because that's where my ship is.
I can see this gameplay taking off, but there are some issues. In the beginning, we don't need to go to the map if we're just there to press continue. The 'attributes' screen should have a button to select this person, so you don't have to click back, then the picture, then okay. Let us know when a character gets a level up. Clicking the mouse still seems to cause the needle to trigger behind where I clicked.
With some minor things, screen zoomed out a bit, a bigger mouse dead zone (I click, and that causes the piece to move one space; I altered the sensitivity and that doesn't do what I am asking). Otherwise, I could see this as being a hugely popular game, I recommend trying to port it to other platforms.
As it stands, the bank's 'interest' is useless. It resets if you deposit or take out money, and the money you get is less than you get from the fast bar in the same time, unless you have enough money in the first place.
More money needs to be available. Don't have the interest bar reset every time I deposit money. Scale the fish so more expensive fish are rarer, and then increase the prices across the board. Or reduce the prices of items.
The game is a bit tedious to play. The menus take a long time to see what you want, and they are cluttered. The weapons and armor could be on one page, so you can see the differences in them right away. The fights move slow and the XP countdown crawls. It's a good game, nay great, since it's your first. The only complaints are interface ones.
Using pictures for games like this can be good, as it's a static image genre, but it often forces you to use hand drawn items. This leads to the items either being highly visible, or, in this case, obscured by the clutter to the point that I click everything. The navigation is very strange and hard to get the hang of. If this was your first game, I would rate it better, but since this is the fifth or six game that looks exactly the same, and has numerous interface (the only gameplay/control parts of these games) problems, 2/5.
Player moves too slow; enemies move diagonally, but I can't shoot to hit them reliably; projectiles move way too slow, player shouldn't move at the same speed; hard to tell what I want to grab vs. what I should ignore; the playing area is too small for the amount/size of enemies.
This game reminds me of NASCAR; moving around in a circle for just a bit too long. The arena isn't large enough to really do any good maneuvers around the mass of bullets coming at you, and you can't see far enough to really do great last minute dodges. The "only new" upgrade design doesn't work well with this level design, because you're forcing us to use a weapon system, and since the next ship is better than the last, upgrading isn't tactical. It seemed like a stripped down BT. 4/5
Oh, yeah.. Another bug I should fix. Ty for pointing that out!
