physics lab is the most overpowered thing ever. Combined with miner ships it just about beats everything, and gets you enough energy to build starports to finish the enemies off.
Easy way to beat hard infected enemies: at the start of the game use the pause function to build constructors all the way to the enemy base, then build shruiken turrets and barricades. Enemies die off without getting to build anything. (Only works if the enemy base starts small though)
@chuba click the help button. Black hole = time limit on the map, static = your stuff randomly gets disabled temporarily, heat = everything takes a small amount of damage constantly.
The trick is to realise how the scoring system works. There is NO time component for the scoring, so you don't have to try and kill everything as fast as you can. Instead, there are 3 main goals: A) upgrade your outpost to the maximum with full hp, B) have a large army, C) don't let too many soldiers die.
The game also ends early if you find ear twice.. (once on its own and once in heart), because it counts by the number of words found rather than checking whether all the words were found.
The main problems of the last game are still around: Insufficient information on what all the various items/powerups do, and having units die every battle forces most of the gameplay to be tedious rebuying and setting up units.
The '!' will make your character say '!', and it's useful to locate your character if you can't figure out which one is you :P.
