What really ruins this for me is that it's just way to easy. You can't possibly lose the game... you just build forever with no fear of anything really happening.
First, there's no mute option for sounds and music. Terrible if you like listening to youtube stuff while gaming. Also in combat, I've noticed too many times where only one of my characters is attacking the enemy and the others are standing by not doing anything.
Would like to report a bug. Towards the end of the game, around floor 79, if you quit and come back, the artifacts you keep are simply nowhere near powerful enough to get you through the next floor. You'll lose regular items that were *VITAL* because they were so much stronger than artifacts. You also wont have enough money to re-purchase everything you need. This means you get stuck and cannot go forward. One way to fix this is to allow us to go back further if we decided to... have the option to go back 2 floors and start there - OR - start over on any previous floor. Think about allowing that as an option.
0/5 - this game had so much potential... but I am totally and completely unable to figure out how to get power to the buildings. I tried connecting power lines to them, but they wont turn on. Then I tried drawing a little path of power lines around to the "south-west side of the building". They still say "offline" and show no power. Exasperated, I have now put power lines ON EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE SPOT ON THE MAP, around the buildings, under the buildings, on top of the buildings, everywhere... there are now power lines everywhere. The building STILL wont turn on. Same with water... I've put water pipes everywhere I can put them. The buildings still say "no water". I'm completely uncertain how anyone else is managing to get power to the buildings.
Holy smokes... I got emotionally involved with this game! It bothers me when one of our guys die. Especially since I can hear them talking over the radio. Absolutely *LOVE* the radio traffic! But wish there were more samples so it doesn't get repetitive. This is a fantastic tower defense game. Hope a sequel comes out with more levels and more stuff!
Others here have said it best, but here's a summary. 1. Up button works only 50% of the time. 2. Massive memory leak. This game eats the hell out of my virtual memory. 3. Lag. 4. Make it so we can dress up the kitties in an outfit by pressing one button, rather than having to click and drag each part of the outfit down to them. 5. Make it so we can see the full stats of what an outfit provides PLUS it's bonuses without having to put it on the kitty first. 6. LAG! 7. Come up with some more original bonuses. I beat the game by mix-matching totally unrelated outfit items because this gave my cats overpowered stats, making it pointless to dress them up in the right outfit. 8. Dude come on, the ending is just one picture and that's it? 9. Different music for different stages please. That one song is monotonous. 10. The cats get on different lines... 2 cats up top, 2 cats at bottom, and they can't get back together and this screws things up so often.
Well, this game is fail. It'd be nice if there were instructions telling you how to attack. After 5 minutes, and pressing every button on my laptop individually, I can't find a way to make the person use his knife. There's an indicator that shows pressing the 1 key should do it, but pressed that and it does nothing. 0/5
Ok some additional feedback... the game needs an ending. Im really disappointed that I just cleared 1,000,000 feet, and nothing happened. Seriously anti-climatic. Then I purchased every last single upgrade - once again, nothing. I mean even a big yellow "YOU WIN!" sign would work. It would bring closure to all that work I just did. Seriously disappointing. :/
Great game, but 1 problem. As long as you "keep your eyes on the road", you can't really lose. On day 36, with only a few pet upgrades, I got a distance of 400,000 feet, and nearly 3 million money. I stopped only because I had been in flight for so long and actually need to get up and go do other things. With the upgrades I bought from THAT run, I can now easily be in flight for half an hour at a time and will never lose. The difficulty needs to be increased a bit. Also, does XP actually do anything? 4/5.
Off hand, the major problem with this is that there's no obvious way to grind. I can't find a spot on the first map where I can just fight battles over and over again to increase my experience and equip new items. The fighting system doesn't provide any real options between attacks and spells, and with no grinding / level-up, it's basically just point and click, and watch animations. There's no real ability to choose what happens. So there doesn't appear to be much of a game here.
I remember when I first started to mine. Just my grand pappie's pickax, and a great big ol pile of POO! Made 65 dollars on my first day. I was so proud. ^_^ But before long I was moving up to coal and iron... bought bigger and better picks... today, I'm mining SOUL STONES!!! BECAUSE I MINE INTO THE VERY HEART OF YOUR SOUL!!! Also, I earn more than the combined GDP's of all the nations in the world combined, times 10. I can basically afford to purchase my own imperial star fleet. And it all started... from a pile of poo.
omfg sorry but this is ridiculous. I find myself in a room with a bed and a box. Ok now what? Yea I unlocked the box. There's nothing inside it. WHAT CAN I DO NEXT??? Theres no other options or hints.
This was an incredibly fantastic game. Being a casual reader of philosophy, comparative religion, and psychology, I love how the game applies these words of wisdom to solving each of the puzzles. Even though the puzzles are not terribly difficult, they're enough to match up with the proverbs given, which is indeed thought provoking! 5/5
*Puts record on record player* ... hm, ok. Thats kind of eerie. Well... lets explore some more. *Goes through the door* I wonder wh - oh, the music stopped? I wonder why. I'll go back and se - ASDFQWERTDSIFiHQEOUTYQSHDFQ
