Nice graphics, nice idea, but not very well designed. Even opening the safe was a grind. Just making it 3 clicks would have been better than that. All you did was make things more troublesome for the players. As they said, keyboard shortcuts and an auto armory upgrade feature would be nice, and safe cracking could've been a fun minigame. I didn't even know I could sell items until I almost beat the game because all I ever did was click and drag, but selling doesn't seem to ever be worth doing anyway.
Parts of the game are not explained very well, and it would've been nice to see an explanation of the unit abilities at the list of cards. I thought rush was just another level of haste and I only played that card when I was about to win because of that, then I was surprised when I switched browsers and had to play it earlier. I was never sure of what some of the other abilities did.
It might've been nice to see the movespeed of the cards shown too, as well as a timer for how long you can be indecisive about picking a card and maybe display the cards that the opponent plays.
As the others have said, the game was kinda finished after I unlocked all the cards, but I'm glad I got to play it. It has potential and I'm surprised at how much time I spent on it. Might've been nice to show that stat, too.
This was a nice little "luck based timekiller" and the graphics were nice, but there's definitely some room for improvement with the game design. The clicker and autoplay aspect make me wonder if this was gonna be an idle game, but I'm glad it's not. Clicking on that thing can be annoying to hear, though.
Aside from the banner issue: Oddly, I played it in Firefox first and it just got stuck on a save and refused to save after that, so I switched to Chrome. Not sure if it was because I already knew how to play, but I got waaay more scraps in Chrome. However, in Chrome the sound would not work in battle. Yes, I know there's a button in the bottom right.
I made a comment at the beginning of today after multiple tries to load the game. Now it's the end of the day and after a few more refreshes, it loaded fine. Judging by the upvotes I got, other people might've had that problem as well, so I hope the game loads fine for them too now/I hope they come back to try some more.
Hey Reibear, thank you for your patience and for announcing that the game loaded. Hope you are enjoying Idle Space Tycoon and happy to listen to any further feedback or suggestions you may have. Have a beautiful week, Leena
The game just isn't loading for me today and I'm guessing it's this new update. I tried refreshing and waiting multiple times, even with a ctrl+F5, and I tried leaving it on to load while taking a shower, but it's just stuck on that loading screen and now I know that loading circle blinks for a second after 4 rounds.
The only part I needed a walkthrough for was that room with all the lamps. I guess I just couldn't see the association between all those necessary actions. Good thing the dev linked to a walkthrough in the comments, I enjoyed the rest of the game.
5/5! Let's rate this game up so it gets badges!
Here's an idea for a medium/hard badge:
Catch only the bare minimum pokeyman that you need to get through the game.
You can call the badge speedrun, laziest playthrough, or.. you DON'T gotta catch 'em all!
I don't see why the shop guy can't just always be there, his constant absence doesn't add to the game at all and might lead many new players into thinking there is no shop, which may lead them to think this is a terrible game and stop playing. I don't think that having to manually pick up items adds to the game either, though that doesn't bother me as much. I am curious to see where you will go with this game, however, and I will keep checking back for updates.
Damnit, I read all the comments before playing the game and I STILL killed the donkey because by the time I had bought it, the comments were completely out of my mind!
I paused while I was in a tunnel, and when I unpaused, the game was frozen. :{
Then another time, I got to the 4th tunnel and it got stuck in some sort of loop where it kept showing "LEVEL 1" at the top, over and over again. I wasn't doing anything unusual that time.
If the multiplier maxes out at 120, why does it keep going in game? I went on until past 300! :{ The game is pretty different when you're going that fast. I still haven't seen any panthers, and medic kits sure are hard to come by.
Nice game, but I don't understand why the only place you can change the options (not just mute the game) is after you complete a level. Would it be that hard to add an options button in either the main menu or the map?
The 2nd time I tried to go after the kraken, the whirlpool was placed literally off of the map. I was unable to get to it, no matter how much I rammed my ship against the edge of the game. I think this is a bug.
Yeah, it seems that if enemies are doing their "I got hit" animation, they won't take any damage from other sources, and that's terrible. Also, units hired doesn't seem to be updating, so I guess I'm not getting this badge of the day, or ever playing this game again. Nice concept, but too many problems.
@dragonxclaw9 : Dual wield is a rogue skill.
@Abra24 : At first I was unimpressed with this game and didn't understand why it was doing so well, despite the fact that I've played and enjoyed multiple idle RPGs before. This is because it doesn't look very polished visually and seems blatantly unoriginal. However, I think I'm hooked now, because I find this extremely simple game is pretty good for when I'm not sober and can't do complex things.
I have one suggestion so far: I wish I could see how many items I have in a stack without having to hover over the icon. Sometimes I am just staying in a zone to get one more crafting material, then I want to go somewhere else.
Fun game, though I encountered a strange bug 3 or 4 times where all the zombies would suddenly freeze on my screen like stickers (I couldn't shoot them, and they would stay on my screen when I moved around) until I found ONE zombie that wasn't stuck to my screen, just standing there, and shot it. At that point, all of the zombies would unfreeze and come back. Weird, huh? It was only after I got all the achievements and almost repaired the car already that I realized I could take advantage of this and just fix the car while they're frozen.
How odd, the game seems to have bugged up on me. I played a few levels earlier today, then came back to play some more but returned to this flashing at me: http://i.imgur.com/zHXax.png I can't click on anything except the stuff on the top bar, and refreshing doesn't help. I guess I'll have to try erasing my save. :{
I enjoyed the surprise ending. However, I thought the firecrackers were good for quite a while when I first encountered them. Also, after I beat the game, clicking "upgrades" and then "awards" just closes the upgrades window.
