Small glitch that favors users: I got the card when I *reached* level 8, not when I cleared it. (Still cleared it, but I already had the card by then.)
Cute, but nothing to recommend it over other TD games. And it would be nice if there was a quit or reset button, if I decide I don't like the strategy I'm trying. Sitting waiting for my "reputation" to run down is dull.
A little more instruction would have been nice. But this is a nicely thought-out game, a nice break from all the RSI-inducing keyboard shooters.
(The various fish that keep messing with you, you click on them and they scurry off. They come back, but just keep an eye out for them and click on them over and over.)
By "based on the Achilles engine", what that means is that it is glitch-for-glitch compatible. Got the card, but the badges aren't worth spending time for.
Ugh, more crappy "theme" music that can't be disabled. -1. And it sucks because the graphics are mediocre and the controls are sluggish (and I don't mean the built-in "realistic response" of the controls, I mean even in simple cases there is a lag).
Finally beat chal. 16, and I do have to agree that it is overpowered. Overall, I think the game is great, but the imbalance in the challenges moves it down to 3/5. It is no more luck-centered than any card game. Actual strategy will get you there. Quit whining just because you have to try a few times.
The game's not bad overall, but I finally realized that in all the times I've played, I haven't seen 10 purples in a single game, let alone 10 I could get to. Half or more are immediately in front of or behind some obstacle. Game isn't interesting-enough to keep playing over and over like this.
OK, first of all, this is probably one of the best of the crop of recently-new games to get badges and/or challenges. But why do I have to keep turning off the music every round? The first time should be enough!
I initially gave this a 2/5. Then, several times, one character knowingly threw a grenade *right at* another friendly. An AI doesn't get much dumber than that. I'd give it 0/5 if I could.
Finally beat "The End". Took f-ing forever, highly repetitive. Lowered my rating from 4/5 to 3/5 because the final boss is less challenging than just excessive. Once you're at max mana capacity, and have installed the shield, turret and trap, just build angels one after the other. When you take out the building, you should have 5-6 angels on the board. Then just keep building them as fast as you can. Don't forget your arrows, lvl boss is tall-enough that you can constant-fire at him without hitting your angels. Once he's in close enough to start damaging your castle, just throw everything you can at him, making sure that as soon as the angel recharge-bar fills up you have enough mana to summon a new one. My castle was down to about 250 when I killed him.
What is it with the "please play our suckiest games" week? There's a reason these games were "buried"... the same reason cats bury what they bury in their litter boxes.
This is the first 5/5 I've given in a while. At first I wasn't that into it, but it's amazingly addictive. This thing needs badges (and a challenge card!) stat...
Let's see... boring music you can't turn off? Check. Typos any free spellchecker would have found? Check. Bugginess? Check. Dumb crap like the end of mission nine saying "Mission Seven Complete"? Check.
1/5. OK, I'll give it 2/5 since it was easy-enough that I didn't have to waste too much time getting the badges.
