I believe the heatsink upgrades are not stacking. With first four heatsink upgrades purchased, here is the heat reduction of the ultimate heat-sink... 0 plating, 57.87k. 1 plating, 58.449k. 2 plating, 59.027k. 3 plating, 59.606k. Which means each plating is increasing the heat reduction by 1%, not 4% (as would be expected from having purchased four 1% upgrades). It's possible this is just a tooltip error; I haven't tried to measure the actual reduction.
The production reported by my UI is not at all similar to my actual production (I'm getting about 40% as much per turn as it looks like I should). Not sure if UI bug displaying the wrong number, or game bug *giving* the wrong number.
Getting a steady 1 new tech per 2-3 turns all game long. I'm sitting on over 3M production and only need Megastructure research, have 10 turns remaining, and suddenly it takes 11 turns to discover the next tech. That was cold-hearted of the game devs.
Spring: buy pea seeds for cash, strawberries for food. This is the best season for farming - highest profits and most food. Summer: cherry or pumpkin for cash, tomato for food. Fall: Pepper for cash, yam for food. Winter: no crops. Alternatively, you can live fine ignoring your farm completely and just collecting berries, meat, and mining in the wilds.
Update on death glitch I commented about earlier: quitting to main menu doesn't work (it gives me a weird zoomed-in view of the upper-left of the main menu). Reloading the page lets me try to load the game again, but I just get the black screen once more. It occurred after I died in the middle of summer after spending about a week going deeper into the wilderness without returning to the farm before a bandit guy killed me in one hit.
Yeah sorry about that. I'm trying to track this bug down, and if you'd like to help me fix it you can send me your bugged save at kassoon@kassoon.com . To get to your save Go to %APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects
There’ll be a folder with random gibberish, enter it. From there you’ll need to navigate to

The two files in there are your save.
Don't fight using the mouse. Use the spacebar; that lets you start the swing just before the enemy is in range, so the swing hits as they move into range and you are able to run away again before they can retaliate. This is the easiest way to deal with much stronger enemies without taking damage.
Irritating when a swarm has something like 17000 to have to click the send-battle-harvester button 50-60 times... just for the one swarm. And they appear every couple seconds of gameplay, so you end up spending more time paused than actually letting the game run. Then when they actually arrive you get 50-60 notifications, which makes your notification bar absolutely useless unless you waste *another* 50-60 clicks clearing it out.
You *could* craft a tinker table and use that to craft a canteen, and then you'd be able to drink water from the canteen up to seven times between refills at lakes. OR you could just hit a block of water with a hammer and carry around a small lake in your backpack to drop when you need it.
I feel like the last patch *may* have thrown the soul-gaining curve off a bit too much. I went from nonillions of souls yesterday to octodecillions by the end of today.
I can understand wanting to have fast and slow periods in the game, but increasing 100-fold every few minutes for a while was a bit silly.
It's confusing when the resource / bank display up top says I have something like "$4.5E," but a cost is given as something like "3,843,750,000,000,000,000 cash." Gotta go count all those digits and hope I don't slip a place.
This is quickly turning into a fantastic game. A few areas I think could potentially be a bit better still... the shooter section is extremely dull and repetitive. Nice idea, just not really working right now. The stun ability seems overpowered with fleets. You get several ships of your own showing up at once, hit the 7x fire rate ability, and watch the enemy be stun-locked. The fact that you can max out every single bit of the tech tree before you're even 10% into the proper game is a little odd. And couple ideas to throw out just to see if they look interesting / feasible... limited structures (one per planet, one per solar system, one per galaxy sort of stuff) that can provide a modifying bonus to other structures - e.g., a one-per-planet structure which can provide a boost to mining rates for all mines on the planet. Asteroid belts / asteroid mining.
Is there any chance of a slider or number-entry thing for fusing gems? E.g., if I want to add precisely 25 gems to my fusion, an easy way to do that which does not involve selecting 25 gems and individually adding them one at a time.
Bug: DirectMax sometimes doesn't always update properly. I had 22 maxed Institutes but the counter was at only 1/16. When I refreshed the page and reloaded the game, the counter properly updated immediately so I could start using DirectMax.
Media Rebirth is the most useless achievement... Newspapers are already the priciest structure out there. And they miss the 2x multipliers at 500, 600, 700, 800, and 900, as well as the 2/3/4/5/6/7x multipliers the other "expensive" structures get from intermediate newspaper achievements. Long story short, the newspaper is worth under 0.000002% of your total income at 999 newspapers. Getting a 111x multiplier on that makes them instead worth under 0.001% of your income - if you left the game running for a year, you would earn a little under half a second more income thanks to that achievement.
