A_Zylia commented "To people who have the card (target shot and such) problem, I put my zoom on the webpage back at 100% and it's now working fine for me(but it's very tiny). hope this helps!"
My zoom was already on 100% BUT then switched my Retina Display to non HiDPI using Retina Display Manager, and targeting does now work. So if you're having the problem, make sure there's no webpage zoom.
I persevered to stage 5, but now that my hand is filled with unplayable cards due to the targeting bug, I'm going to have to bow out. I'm on Mac OS X El Capitan and tried all three major browsers (which is info I'd like to be able to see in these comments, to know I'm not alone).
It might be wise to make it clearer that your progress WILL be saved on Kong. Maybe remove "To save and" from the text at the top.... Or even better, remove the text entirely!
Turns out I've not been retaining any save games across Kong (other than those stored on a game server) since the last Flash update - it set my local storage to zero. I had to make a backup, change to unlimited storage, then restore.
Sadly that doesn't fix the fact that replaying even a fraction of this game will be a major pain.
based on gameplay, it barely gets a 2/5. Based on artistic content it might make a 4/5. Oh what to score it.
I think I'll rate it as art, but it'll get a 3/5 for incorporating every cliché in the book.
We're going to look into this when we release an update
