Why scrolling screen? It's the most annoying thing you can do in a defense game, considering seeing what happens on every part of the map is more important than eye candy.
Play should be a bit faster - After getting accostumed to it the game feels very sluggish, mostly waiting around for it to resolve the turn rather than playing.
The units are a bit grainy, making them kinda ugly. Music a bit repatative and I think towers should have less health for a more flowing gameplay (Especially in early levels, at least).
Other than that, the game is nice though the skill menu could really be more descriptive of what XP you invest in it does. Should I upgrade elves or save for a new tier unit? The game doesn't give statistics to judge.
When there are multiple paths enemies need to split more evenly between them. You can easily get a mass of creatures going one road completely ignoring the other one, screwing you up completely since you need to equally fortify roads (Speaking about levels where the roads are completely seperate, ala Spine of Kraxos)
Great improvements!
Would also like to see the roads becoming more obvious and visible over the maps, as sometimes it's hard to make them out in the map.
I remember reading an article about games, saying that "A game is basically making interesting decisions".
The game has great presentation, concept and good interface... But where are the decisions? I feel I have nearly no control.
Loved the improvement over the predecessor, unlocking the towers and weapons as you go along is a great system.
Though it's not really made clear if the bonuses that some towers give (Such as earth towers) are to all other towers or just for other earth towers.
