Dev: If you purchase something, it should stay the rest of the game.
Fellow kongers: If you want to get the hard badge, right click and select "play" to keep the money you earn in a round and restart the round. Just keep doing that on level 1 until you have over $800, then buy every single upgrade. I used my upgrades in this order: freaky, thrust, freaky, thrust, freaky, thrust, ski x3.
The rate of regeneration needs to be cut down to a third of what it is now, protection needs to fully recharge when you lose a life, you should be able to buy extra slots instead of layouts, and I'd like to be able to toggle blood and souls. Try putting ten empty boxes where the skills are going to be to give people a sense of how many they have left so they can plan accordingly. My hard badge layout: protection x2, life x2, regen x1, move x3, sight x2; ammo x4, projectiles x2, knockback x1, damage x3.
I won the "Game that never ends" badge with the following: level 128, maxed out enhanced pool, focus, all gem mastery, recharge, turbulence, radiance, forge, and replenish; level 9 pure, dual and prismatic gem mastery; and level 1 armor.
There's a difference between pixelated graphics and low quality graphics. This is low quality graphics. If you don't want to change the graphics style for the next game, change the font to something easier to read.
Thankfully not a rogue-like! (I hate rogue-likes) Putting rogue in the title makes that a little unclear tho. No other complaints for the dev. For other players: to reduce grinding, buy at least half of the loot upgrades first + Miser's Ballad. It's also not a bad idea to just save your money for the top weapon and armor instead of buying all of them. Only took me about 2 hours to get the hard badge.
The coins badge should be a hard badge. The levels should be about half as long or otherwise they should have a checkpoint halfway through. Also, why can't you go through and select a level after you've won so you can get the remaining coins? I was sure that it would have that feature like a normal game which is why I didn't pay as much attention to collecting them all. I'm not doing a second play-thru of the entire shitty game just to get another medium badge.
You don't really have to 100%(or even play) any game you don't like bro, I did put my best efforts in making it and it's playable for free. Sorry but I'm not gonna rework thousands of lines of code because you don't like the design choices
Massively unfair. If you somehow manage to get a respectable lead of 25 health going, the game instantly smites you with death for your hubris. If you get a deficit of 25 health, game again smites you with death for not trying.
The information on the cards is not useful. You have to have played dozens of BETTER card games to have any idea what's going on. Easy mode is not easier.
Why I don't have the medium badge: Oh dude, are you actually going to jump I just told you to make? No? Ok then, I guess you'll get impaled on a spike. Missed the two pixel long proper jump area by going one pixel too soon or too late? Sucks for you, here's a spike to the face. How this game could be improved: Less finicky controls, slower running, or larger successful jump areas.
Friendly note: Mardek's remake/expansion is in production. If you google Mardek remake Divine Dreams you can find the Alora Fane blog and follow the development!
I would really prefer if the upgrades you bought actually rolled over so that it wouldn't feel like my entire play session was wasted. Rouge-like is one thing, randomly bashing your head against a wall and desperately hoping to make it through is another.
The game doesn't have 20 levels. It has 10 levels and a color swap button. It was fine the first time, reasonably challenging but not aggravating, but I didn't want to replay the entire game a second time. If you just put the badge at 10 levels, that would be way less annoying.
Since I know the devs are reading this: Most of the complaints about this being a cash grab would go away if you allowed people to buy creatures for gold instead of just gems and kong bucks. The cost for starting at the last save point should be about a tenth of what it is now. The game isn't properly "idle" because it doesn't idle when you're still online but not in the tab and the creatures don't automatically start questing again after going home. Saying the equivalent of "U mad bro" to commenters who have played hundreds or thousands of similar games and have constructive feedback is not an alternative to good game design.
One of the first goals you get in the game, "go 2500 meters without taking damage", requires you to go through two cake walls without taking any damage. It should be 250 meters so that it's actually achievable in the first hour of the game. It shouldn't take you 6-8 hours to finish the first goal, this isn't Dark Souls. If your goal is to keep people playing, just add more goals, don't make the first one impossible.
