You have made some basic programming achievements and the shooting concept works well. The main problem is that the whole game is too chaotic and it is very difficult to avoid the massive exploding viruses or tell which ones are going to explode. Also the shooting appears to disable itself upon starting a second game. The graphics are better than basic and the animation is fairly competent. The viruses look like special effects and are somewhat impressive. However the black background is desolate; crying out for something vibrant and deep. The music is great but I don’t feel it suits the game precisely. The shooting sound is listenable and pleasant. Take this forward by creating a gradual build up of new additions through waves or stages {plus a shop with ship upgrades}. There is a lot of physical evidence of underlying potential here. **2 / 5**

The fundamentals of this are absolutely poor. There is a huge lack of gameplay. Try a huge variety of different actions and give them a logical order for the player to discover. The black background needs a huge uplift of deep rich colourful textures and interesting vibrant details. Adding modes is the most important first step. Make sure you include a variety of great sound effects to accompany the experience. *1 / 5*

This could do with some significant improvements. Firstly the concept is underdeveloped. There needs to be an overall aim of the game such as survival {endurance} or a kill total. The graphics lack drawing precision and could benefit from some texturing. Try increasing the interactivity by adding moving objects that can cause the game to end. Please choose good audio to accompany it. *1 / 5*

This needs some major improvements. Firstly the jump is simply too high and it becomes impossible to avoid bombs in mid-air. Also I moved the block off the side of the screen and I couldn't move it back into the centre. Also the difficulty selection screen is very awkward as the text bar interferes. Graphically this needs a boost too with more details on the coins and main block. The background is quite pleasing and it is good to see an explosion. You have the skill to produce good environments – but they need audio to accompany them. **2 / 5**

This needs a huge amount of development. Firstly the constant changes in the enemy's life almost looks like programming errors so add a good life bar or a hit indicator. There needs to be more enemies and a sense of danger {what is in your introduction}. However I am quite impressed with the amount of detail on the gun; it is a beautiful and competent drawing which is both authentic and animated. All you really need is a background, and a huge interactive jolt plus some audio and you have here one great cake to eat. **2 / 5**

It is very basic and underdeveloped. I find the brown smudges very distasteful, please work on developing your colour scheme through shading and adding textures. You need to include other modes such as time challenge and multiplayer co-op against the AI or Kongregate users. This is definitely the type of game that needs a good car engine sound and a finishing cheer, please include these. *1 / 5*

This is showing a massive lack in commitment. The maze is small, easy and provides no other maps with increasing difficulty. Involve the user with the entire contrast and shading of the colour rather than use one fill. Also there needs to be animation, even if in small parts – try animating the finishing circle and/or the walls. You need to fix the programming errors such as the blank screen upon failure – it needs a retry button. Also the game can be cheated by right clicking. After fixing these you should add some audio that goes with the colour scheme. *1 / 5*

This has limited expansion, but it is still good fun. Stealth is a wise implementation which makes this more than a simple dodging game. The shapes move quickly and the difficulty increases quickly so one doesn't have to wait a long time to find and break their comfort zone. The shapes are showing a slight lack in visual effort and some of them are showing cracks in their filling. The background appears to be a static picture but it is a suitable alternative to a plain white background. There isn't any audio either and this is the sort of game that would greatly benefit from having some. **2 / 5**

I can see where you are going with this; the concept is pretty good and engaging. The gameplay is crisp and interesting however there should have been a gradual increase in difficulty {as waves} so there could be a greater sense of endurance. Even better you could include new illnesses such as Pneumonia. The graphics are lacking a little spice because the shapes have been filled but not shaded or given many textures, and they have been presented on a plain white background. Also everything feels too static; try your hand at animating. Finally I don't hear any audio so find some great music and sound effects that are suitable. **2 / 5**

There needs to be significant improvements to this. Firstly the graphics are the most basic they could be. Please add tones and shading to the boxes and bring the background to life with details and animations. The interactive aspect is very basic and sometimes relies on luck because the main box is too high to avoid a spawn when I’m by the invisible walls. In terms of additions try gradually increasing the difficulty with new boxes added to the mix which should have individual personalities and designs {eg a falling rectangle}. Please add some audio too. *1 / 5*

The Shaky Fish Game

An odd but convincing concept. Graphically I see a lot of necessary details and competent animation, but the grey fish should have its’ fins filled in and the clouds look unrealistic with a sharp black outline. Your presentation could do with perfecting; there was no instruction as to which direction to shake the mouse; moving it up and down had no effect so it took several failed attempts of randomised shaking to survive. The whole package is also slightly limited with no difficulty levels and game modes. Also the sounds are very cheesy and could be more suitable. However this game gleams for the simple reason that it works and is instantly playable. It just needs greater variation. **2 / 5**

There are many negative issues surrounding this game - the most obvious being the graphics. You really need to be a lot neater with your writing so sketch it with greater care or get somebody to assist you. Also the background is plain white and it could be more colourful. The lines however do have a nice colourful variance. You can also win the maze by right clicking and moving the cursor over so look for programming help. Add some audio too. *1 / 5*

The game is quite poor. The balls move far too fast to begin with but the gradual increase of speed is a good implication. You could improve the graphics by making the background rich and authentic rather than using a single fill colour without shading or texture. The same goes for the paddles. Audio is important in bringing pong games away from the mainstream so add some. *1 / 5*

The programming is slightly flawed as the game progresses by clicking forward on the pop-up menu. Also the enemies are not firing at me and the game would be far more enjoyable is they were, or if there was a time limit that created some adrenaline for me. The game doesn't seem to end either or have any more stages which is a shame. The constant black blobs need refining with the use of thinner brushes and shading. *1 / 5*

The concept itself is fairly different; usually the aim is to shoot and avoid collisions. The graphics present some good ideas such as transparency for life detection. The frame rate is too low though and it looks horribly choppy, however the basic fundamentals on drawing objects is quite evident as the shading and textures are visible. The gameplay lacks development and needs new monsters and power ups as a player progresses. There needs to be audio, a pause button and a retry button so please work on your presentation. **2 / 5**

As a test I would say it is successful. The programming seems acceptable. The shapes move fluidly however I would expect them to travel a lot faster and further if shot. Also the character moves too slowly and doesn't jump high enough. If your making a game this engine could work if you implemented some opponents, a life bar and an enjoyable stage set up. Don't forget the audio. **2 / 5**
