It's definitely a nauseating game, but this is often a positive thing. The controls have a steep learning curve but the spinning is manageably random. The special effects are excellent, especially the background and the occasional planet that flew by in the foreground. However there could be some development on the white walls which are boring; they could use colours or shading. A fine and involving concept but slightly repetitive and underdeveloped. ***3 / 5***
I was a bit disappointed with the programming. The buttons seemed to work on layers and were very often unclickable even though I am absolutely certain that I was over them. Graphically this is mediocre. Some of the special effects are really good; avoid boring white backgrounds though, get creative. The overall concept is entertaining and is easy to build on. **2 / 5**
It's a fair original adaptation to the snake concept. The presentation is fairly good with clean text and coloured boxes. The scrolling numbers work well but the matrix was encoded using symbols instead of numerical cases – try creating random characters instead. There could be some shading and/or lighting effects on the snake. The music would work well with an electronic sound effect upon food pick up or game over. **2 / 5**
My initial reactions are fairly negative. There is a great deal of potential missing from this game. The most obvious thing I notice is that there is no variation in the game play. It’s the same number of the same enemies doing the same thing. You need to mix the ships up by altering their colours, design and speed. You may also want to add lasers to the enemy ships {with the same programming detection} which fires from a forward turret. You should consider gradually increasing the difficulty through stages {waves} and add power ups, plus a high score board. Please also consider audio as without it the game feels extremely greyscale. However the effect of the background grey polygons and the depth of the details could make this a diamond in the rough - take it and make it glimmer. **2 / 5**
It’s a fairly good take on solitaire. However it’s not complete. There is a mode called Vegas mode which you should implement which gives the user a certain amount of points {or cash} which is deducted upon a card being placed in the top row. However the stack can only be sifted through once. This would work with a high score board. The images are well selected but some are too small and it is difficult to tell what they are {eg card 3}. There are no sounds; make this solitaire your own by adding them. **2 / 5**
A fairly decent dodging game although the whole concept is limited, especially without a variation in game modes. The programming skills used in this though are highly competent as the balls move and rebound of solid surfaces very realistically and predictably. They are well shaded although they might have looked nice animated. The music creates a lot of tension and the ball collision sound is perfect. A frustratingly enjoyable game. ***3 / 5***
Cube Colossus is one of those games that blows you away with its realistically taxing controls and busy scenarios. The workshop turns this game into an RPG, therefore giving it a variable difficulty which is pleasing to both gaming professionals and beginners. The storyline is emotional but does suffer from a lot of grammar errors which are distracting, but neither or less can be overseen. The graphics are occasionally spectacular with fully animated beams and glittering effects. The backgrounds however are too static and could have been more animated. The music and sound effects are simply great with a boss tune that just screams epicness. The whole game is steaming with pure cosmic intelligence. I can imagine this working really well with a multiplayer mode. ****4 / 5****
This is probably my favourite flash game. It isn’t perfect, but it is addicting and challenging whilst using a small amount of luck. The storyline is entertaining and the difficulty levels are justifiable. Sandbox mode and challenges generate hours of great fun. Smog is too easy to control through natural diffusion although a secondary source of diffusion would have been useful. The graphics are lush and rich although some buildings and trucks look too static and could have benefitted from a little more animation. The music score is breathtaking and the sound effects are highly tuneable and effective in adding to the marvellous aura of this game. *****5 / 5*****
The game has a basic concept, but it has been presented fairly well which makes it feel more exciting. The power ups are useful although the extra turrets can sometimes become a hindrance. The graphical outline is smooth and there are some nice details, although the basic red circles could have benefited from some shading or cracks. The music is fantastic but the sound effects are limited and sometimes too quiet. ***3 / 5***
Platform Racing 2 has been a firm favourite of mine, however I do find the rank system unnecessary for it encourages grinding, which leads to exp sims wasting other players’ time. The whole concept though is still highly enjoyable and the different characteristics of the blocks present an almost endless range of possibilities in the level editor. The brush however could have been more useful as a square rather than a circle as it is currently very difficult to draw straight shapes. Graphically the game is acceptable but some campaign levels should have a lot more brush. The music and sound effects are wonderful and are rarely a chore to listen to. An important step forward though is to allow an editor to place individual items in individual boxes to allow a variation of items whilst removing the luck element. The game also has a large variety of glitches which mainly ruin campaign maps which could do with a lot more updates, or even replacing regularly. ****4 / 5****
I completed the game (archer) with the alliance as my friends. The difference in starting reputations made this the most logical choice. The difficulty stayed reasonably constant throughout the game although the bosses were very easy. I also had to grind for a while after completing all the quests for the appropriate groups which is unnecessary. The graphics are functional and decent but blank areas of the map could have benefited from miscellaneous details such as different terrain textures. The music was highly suitable but it looped noticeably. Pretty sound effects throughout. The huge variation of skills and satisfaction from kills makes this less repetitive than what it could have been, however it could have had a few non faction based quests or events. ****4 / 5****
I find gaining ten points from racing custom maps an exciting prospect. The game constantly delivers because the core concept is so simple. The lighting effect on platforms gives maps a nice shine although the static space background could have been improved with angle rotations. The jump mechanisms should also queue so a jump is automatically done after a jump if space is pressed in mid air. Although the gameplay is pleasant, the graphics aren’t the most professional and it lacks some sound effects. ****4 / 5****
The game isn’t the worst platformer on the site. It has a fair degree of length although it would have been nice to see new levels with different colour schemes. The collision detection with spikes and coins would greatly benefit from a small animation upon hit. The smiley also moves slightly to the left when the platform rises and right when it descends so have a look at fixing this programming error. It could also use some jumping {or impaling} sound effects and music. I can see amateur’s effort here though. **2 / 5**
Do not criticise comments publicly. Please forward any emotional disagreements with a comment to the author. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I have produced sound advise as to how the developer can move this game forward.
The concept is basic but it has been executed rather well. Aiming and shooting function normally and the gradual increase in difficulty encourages replay, although it does need a highscore board and a pause button. The visuals are acute although the falling animation is too quick once they are about to land on Nanny. The details are very nice and there is a beautifully drawn moving background which accompanies good looking enemies. The sounds are also well chosen. ***3 / 5***
It's a mediocre racing simulation. The gameplay does feel slightly sticky and the perspective sometimes makes it hard to avoid obstacles, especially on corners. However the concept is fantastic. The graphics and visuals have been blended in nicely although the background and distance views look unrealistically static. The cars are bright and vibrant though which is important. Reasonably good, full audio. Further development on options such as tracks and different time constraints {difficulties} would propel this game forward. ***3 / 5***
